The program actually cost the state more than the entitlements from the program. (The drug testing requirement was shut down by the court.) It is worth noting that Gov. Rick Scott had a $62million stake in the company that wasdoing the drug testing. Coincidence , I’m sure.
How about if everyone in a defense contractor's place of business, from the CEO down to the janitorial staff, have to pass drug testing to get a defense contract? We don't want anyone who might benefit from all that money to use it for drugs.
Also, too, before the testing requirement was shut down those testing positive were less than 3% (mostly cannabis). This was less than the percentage of use for the general population.
