Johnson follows the teaching of his Lord and Savior. No not that one! The Orange one!

It is report of a committee of elected members of Congress and therefore should be made public. Not releasing the report would be a threat to national security as individuals named in the report could be pressured by anti-US forces.

Electing disgusting old wealthy white men is NOT how you shake up the status quo. You do that by electing a woman dammit!

" ... no lie is too immoral or underhanded so long as it helps them achieve power and reach their goal of establishing a Christian theocracy."

And when they have it - what will it be like?

We've had literary warnings in that area long before THE HANDMAID'S TALE, as in science fiction novels decades old now. Robert Heinlein's short but punchy novel " ... if this goes on ... " is set in a future U.S. ruled by just that sort of god-bothering oligarchy. The dictator is known as the Prophet Incarnate, and he is served by an elite military unit called the Angels of the Lord, and waited upon by a corps of female servants called the "Virgins". In fact, of course, they are his sex slaves.

Sexual irregularities outside the Prophet's palace are forbidden and harshly punished. The Prophet's public image is one of strict chastity. Heinlein makes the reeking hypocrisy of the whole setup very plain, as well as the difficulty of bringing off a successful revolution against such a tyranny when for generations the mug public have been taught by expert psychologists to believe this crap.

He wrote it in 1940.

He's come in for scathing criticism over some of his other stuff, like "Starship Troopers", but he once wrote that nobody had ever corresponded with him to assert that the basic premise of " ... if this goes on ..." was silly - that premise being that the people of the U.S.A. "are capable of throwing away their dearly bought freedoms in order to submit to a crude and ridiculous religious dictatorship. I infer that I am not alone in believing it."

Other famous SF writers have produced novels on the same theme - Fritz Leiber with "Gather, Darkness!" and Philip Jose Farmer with "The Lovers." They ascribe to their fictional future churches

-Farmer's is called the "Sturch" (State-Church) - the classic technique of taking sex away from people, making it dirty, forbidden, limited to ritualistic breeding, whereupon the sex drive backs up into suppressed sadism. "Then hand them a scapegoat to hate." (Heinlein).

Seems relevant today, somehow.

Good luck fighting these power-hungry two-faced screwed-up bastards, America.

I admit to taking a kind of sadistic satisfaction in the conclusion to " ... if this goes on ... " The revolution succeeds. The freedom fighters break into the Prophet Incarnate's underground bunker at last, but they don't arrest him. THe Virgins reached him first. What they leave of him has to be identified by his DNA.

>> Mike Johnson did not get where he is by having any principles, aside from not getting all tingly in his naughty parts if a woman is showing too much ankle in public. He’s certainly not going to start now. <<

"But so much as glimpsing a naked booby on the internet is such an unpardonable sin that even your adolescent son gets to reproach you for it."

At the same time, these people who practice toxic religion commit the worst types of financial crimes, violate the youth and children in the most unspeakable manner, and commit the most gruesome types of violence imaginable to anyone, especially if you are a VIP, WEALTHY, MAN in said religion, then not only are you publicly FORGIVEN, but all of it will be covered up so none of our reputations will be damaged.

-

And yet these toxic religious leaders wonder why the regular people are fleeing organized religion. Those with half a brain are beyond fed up with the hypocrisy and toxicity that you offer and will resist your attempts to shove a theocracy down our throats.

HuffPost: Trump Personally Calling Senators To Get Matt Gaetz Confirmed: Report

"Trump has personally called Republican senators to push through former Rep. Matt Gaetz as his attorney general, Axios reported Monday. "He clearly wants Matt Gaetz," Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), who got a call from the president-elect, told Axios. "He believes Matt Gaetz is the one person who will have the fearlessness and ferociousness, really, to do what needs doing at the Department of Justice."

I will say it. Garland is part of several cover ups and delays. He has investigated none of the weekly scandals coming from Trump and his associates from 2017 to October 2020. Including the obstruction charges Robert Mueller laid out in his investigation, and intentionally delayed investigating the leaders of the insurrection for over a year and a half after Garland took office in March 2017.

"Johnson has this thing he does when he’s listening and preparing to lie, where his mouth curls into a frown so he looks like a church deacon warning kids to stop talking during a homily. Or possibly like the troll hearing someone trip-trapping across his bridge. "

Got the best dark chuckle outta this 'graph; entire thing is A++ level writing, as always!!!

Trump gives zero fucks about Gaetz. He gives zero fucks about anybody. He's trolling to see just how far he can push GOP Senators.

MAGA Mike is just afraid that reading the report will set off the "Covenant Eyes" alarm and his son will know...

...then his son might read the report and find out about the kind of people dad works with...

...and decide that he doesn't want to follow in the family business after all.

OR, decide that he does, because he want's to "grow up" to be just like Uncle Matt, and swing like a Gaetz.

It’s a damn shame that Tim Walz’ “weird” dig on republicans peaked too soon. They demonstrate just how weird they all are every day.

DOJ declined to prosecute Groomer because his wingman, Greenberg, was a terrible witness. He’s on audio talking about framing another guy for statutory rape. That’s the kind of evidence that makes a defense attorney cum in their pants.
