The Constitution says (not like that stops anybody) that the states shall determine the time and manner of voting.
Back in the day of Abraham Lincoln, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and another state used to do elections in October, and November was a formality. Some states still do polls open 6 AM to 6PM (Indiana), others do 8AM to 8PM (Mich).
Blue States can just move up their elections, arrest federal poll watchers as illegal, and Trump and ScOTUS that has been so bigly on States Rights and Original Intent are in a very hard place. Bush v Gore can’t be used as a precedent.
I can hardly wait for the day when the only reminder that these people ever held power in this country will be the fact that someday we can all spit on their graves.
