After a happy Saturday and Sunday reading about and watching videos of No Kings, I was annoyed by a post on my phone that was from NBC talking about how while the Democrats did pull off their big rally (really, the Democratic party did that?) there still are many who are not happy with the party. (as if the democrats have ever been monolithic and as if this No Kings event was not a grass roots thing).

re: NYT, I saw an article yesterday(ish) about how the the apartment building in Chicago that they raided like it was Fallujah was actually a crime-ridden shithole and gosh they have tried everything over the years to make it better and maybe the raid was something they kinda needed to do.
Yeah, there’s nothing they can do to undercut that story without exposing how shitty the landlord company is and how likely it is the landlord cut a deal to clear out the building. And when they leave out the fact that a lot of the immigrants living there were there because they were bussed to Chicago by Texas? Their stories are not going to keep people from knowing what actually happened.
