Clearly - seems to defy wonder. More deaths with more effective denials and more convincing justification.

So it would be worse. At least I think so.

still a little concerned about the revelation that 2 of the other officers were rookies that Chauvin was supposed to be "training". that smells a lot like a problem at the academy--no matter what Zimmerman was taught when he went through it or personally taught others later. we have had this same problem in Austin and our acting chief just had to tell a House Committee that, yes, the training was racist, sexist, homophobic and taught the cadets to treat the public as if they were all suspects because he was trained in El Paso and on the review committee for the APD academy so he had something else to compare it to. I would like to see Zimmerman on a similar review committee for MPD.

Chauvin's chief of police also just threw him under the bus today then backed over him to make sure he was good and driven over. It's clear that the entire MPD leadership has decided that if Chauvin walks, they are ALL completely fucked and Minneapolis will likely burn to the ground, as may other US cities.

Basically, Chauvin is completely fucked.

If he survived then he'd be charged with felony assault of a police officer.

I think that's the primary reason the protests took off in a way that they didn't a few years ago. There was no fig-leaf of lack-of-video, darkness, split-second-decisions, credible fear, etc. It was clear, obvious, unashamed murder.

The trial for the cops who beat Rodney King was moved from L.A. to Santa Clarita (IIRC), a more favorable venue (i.e., white) for the defense.

Yeah there is one troll who goes by "Daly planet" on WaPo that spams the comments with that one.

Chauvin is a murderer. Whether he's convicted or not remains to be seen.

Gross and depraved extinction of a human life. So glad there are cops willing to speak against him. I think it will make a difference for some who tend to give police the benefit of he doubt.

As I put it way back:

"He died because of his poor health!"Yeah, mortality is one heck of an underlying condition.

What's your problem?

Zimmerman argues that the police have a duty to care that extends beyond themselves and other officers. It's like they're public servants.

Trumpians NEVER get this. Never.
