Wait. My dude was fine with shooting a woman in the face for the crime of "sassing" a civil infraction "officer" so much so that he offered him free legal advice,.....
So disappointed in Michel-with-one-l. She wasn't bad on the sidelines Sunday nights and always looked like she might be able to run hard and catch a pass if need be. Another TV person who, seeing the dizzying heights reached by the like of Judge Boxwine, Kegesth, and the RWNJ podcasters, thinks she should be a shoe-in for elected office. Maybe she spent too much time reconnecting with Aaron Rodgers?
I’m not thrilled about the idea of Governor Klobuchar: she’s too centrist for my taste. That said, she is ridiculously popular. As for the Senate, I’m supporting Flanagan because I think increasing Native representation in national government is important.
I remember what that fucking weasel Coleman did. When Wellstone was killed, Coleman immediately announced that he was suspending his campaign. Then he went on a TV talk show to announce that he was suspending his campaign. Then he went on one radio interview after another to announce that he was suspending his campaign. He kept it up as long as he could, "announcing" his oh-so-principled "suspension" over and over and OVER. What a slimy piece of shit.
As for Tafoya, it should be fun seeing her in a debate, especially trying to defend ICE.
And I'm old enough to remember that Franken couldn't even take his seat in the Senate for eight months because Coleman could not accept defeat. Sure, it was only a matter of a few hundred votes but every time there was a recount (what were there, about a 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥 of 'em?) the spread grew even more but Coleman wouldn't just shut up and go away.
I said it before but, prior to the ICE kidnappings and executions, Madel had a chance to win if he survived the GOP primary. And if he didn't, he could have run as a write-in. Arne Carlson forced Jon Grunseth out, became the GOP write-in in October of 1990, and won his election, while Jesse Ventura won his election as a Reform Party candidate in 1999. MN has a whole history, is what I'm saying.
Tafoya is, personality and media-wise, another Royce White. He was a terrible candidate chosen by cynical people who thought his combination of star power and skin color would attract traditionally non-GOP voters in sufficient number to win the race, instability be damned.
Tafoya has what passes for star power in Minnesota, but Lisa DeMuth obviously has more political connections and a whole history of loud-mouthed obstruction, so I'm guessing she wins the GOP primary. Having said that, all of the candidates are bonkers, as are many of the people who vote for them, so who knows? I'm really curious about the former Lindell supporters in my neighborhood. Whose sign will they put up this year?
Well... Jon Grunseth forced himself out, on account of being a big perv on teenage girls.
That was a super weird year. In a bizarre twist, the (D) candidate, Rudy Perpich, was anti-choice, and the (R) candidate, Carlson, was pro-choice. I was a young single issue voter that year, and it was the only time in my life I've voted for a Republican.
But Carlson has supported Dems for many years now.
ETA: IIRC, I think technically Carlson ran as an (I). But, you know - he was known as an (R).
FFS. This is why I can't stand Maher, always whining about how the Democrats don't know what they're doing and how people ought to behave while signaling that he is so much more virtuous and knows what they should do. STFU and fuck all the way off, Bill.
I also don't think it's an accident that celebrities who tried to speak out about ICE *or* Epstein are being blocked or even deleted on Tik Tok this very sane day, and I don't just mean the political creators
I remember my mom becoming obsessed with properly preparing flan for an in-store demonstration of a particular appliance in a department store just before the holidays [my dad worked as a sales representative for the West Bend company]. Thus she practiced the recipe at home several times before becoming comfortable regarding what she was supposed to sell.
To say that I became rather sick of the stuff is a profound understatement.
FREE AT LAST!!! I done with FRONTIER fone shit! I dumped the DSL 11 days ago. This afternoon I shitcanned the land line. My blood pressure is back to ground level again. Temp is +9 this afternoon. LIFE IS GOOD!
The man is disgusting, and stuff like this is always remarkable to me because, if nothing else, it demonstrates that he is incapable of learning that stuff like this is fucking awful.
"Trump on Renee Good: "I know her parents were big Trump fans. Makes me feel bad anyway, but I mean I guess you could say even worse. They were tremendous Trump people.""
Yep. Maybe it shouldn't be surprising though, because immediately after the Reiners were murdered, he tried to take credit for the deaths. Just like a normal, well-adjusted person would.
I wouldn't call Chris Madel a Republican with values. My money is on that he didn't like off-duty cops being pulled over and harassed because he was the Bob Kroll/FOP candidate. And if it's not that he's positioning himself to seem "reasonable" so he can run again later on. Or both. Could be both.

But shooting a dude was the bridge too far?

Much easier grift spewing right wing lies than even reporting from the sideline.
Trump has huge patches on both of his hands now.
Tick tock, tick tock......
He probably has those gross black/purple patches all the way up his arms by now.
I didn't think about that. You're probably right.
Ta, Dok. Best of luck, MN.

I can see MN getting bluer.

It's almost happy hour, so let's check in with Mrs. Einstein Level. Sing along, everyone!

Ok. Hey Bill, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
Bill Maher Warns Democrats They Need to Demand Celebrities ‘Shut the F**k Up’ if They’re Going to Win Elections

Celebrity says other celebrities should shut up.
Some sort of Zen

Libertarian fucknugget that he is
A celebrity... telling other celebrities to... shut up
Those little stars are swirling around my head now
How about pretending that you're a celebrity and setting an example, Bill-O?
Nicely done, and the only necessary response
I think I'll go on social media and echo it
I also don't think it's an accident that celebrities who tried to speak out about ICE *or* Epstein are being blocked or even deleted on Tik Tok this very sane day, and I don't just mean the political creators

Odious celebrity(?) who hosts a show interviewing celebrities, some of them Democrats, tells Democrats to demand that celebrities shut the fuck up.
I’m a free speech absolutist who wants other celebrities to shut the fuck up but not me.
By Bill Maher
He would love to live in a world in which the only sound he heard was the sound of his own voice.
Anyone make a Flan joke yet?

I love flan. The Spanish sort. French and Mexican are too sweet.
Ah, Christmas in Catalonia...
Would either Talarico or Crockett consider moving up here from Texas? That way we wouldn't have to choose between them.
Texas needs at least one person who isn't a crook or a sadist or both.

I'm pretty sure he is regretting his choice to give legal advice to Jonathan Ross. Didn't turn out to go over very well.
I am sure he is regretting that he allowed it to become public knowledge
Lol, by bragging about it!
Give little credit where little credit is due...
