Drazkowski going for the Ahmadinejad "no gays in Iran" moment except in Ahmadinejad's case, that was the result of a translation error, while in Drazkowski's case, no translation of his BS is even needed.

There are over 300, 000 food insecure people in his state alone but Drazkowski says "I have yet to meet a person in Minnesota that says they don’t have access to enough food to eat.” Maybe he needs to get out more.

If that's "pure socialism", then Entitled White Guy over here is doing a really poor job of convincing me socialism is a bad thing.

it's an oversight, true.

This is the "it's cold in the winter. QED liberals!" kind of guy.

He knows full-well about the over 300k...he just won't ever attempt to get anywhere near meeting them. It's his choice not to.

Nothing is more expensive than being poor.

Drazowtrumpski: "A little hungry kid came up to me, short guy, strong guy, tears running down his cherubic cheeks, he said 'sir, please sir, could I have a little more?' and I said, 'get the fuck out of here, you starving miscreant, and quit stealing the taxpayers' money-- we have rich people to embloaten!'"

I taught kinder in East Oakland for 3 months. The kids got breakfast, a snack, lunch, and another snack, for free. Parents got their kids to school early for the free breakfast. So, yeah, kids are hungry, asshole. What I would like to see though, and this may seem unpopular, is a path for those parents to begin contributing. Just a few bucks here and there. Couch a request for contributions in the idea that some parents can't afford to pay anything. Can you contribute a few dollars a month so that those kids can continue to have free or reduced meals at the school? They also got free hearing and eye exams... with no end in sight. So to speak.

I used to think socialism was when the people own the means of production. But now I'm getting the impression that ANY tax $$ that is kicked down to the actual payers of said tax is socialism? I'm so confused.

I'm a well-educated substitute teacher who can't afford to retire, living in CA with my well-employed GF. I have Medi-Medi health insurance, and food stamps. Without these things I would quite literally be homeless. Sure, I am the product of my choices, as are we all, so should I be put out on the street because of some bad ones? Some think so. I count my blessings every day.

No such thing as an "economy car" anymore. They ALL have all the bells and whistles. Fuck, 50k and up for a new car. Our first house was 12k.

Pasta and margarine? You were lucky! At MY house we had to regurgitate our yesterday's meal, and then eat it again for dinner that night. /s
