They painted up their autos about five miles from where I live in the Florida Panhandle (Bagdad, with no "h"), and were attacked maybe 30 miles north in Alabama. My wife's VW still has an Obama sticker on it, and she constantly worries about getting keyed. Or shot.

Some choice ones:

Last Industry > Beverage & tobacco product manufacturing > Total capital expenditures Yeah, we have our own kind of "tobacco" that doesn't count I guess. 2nd last Energy > Nuclear Energy Dams are awesome 3rd last Health > Beds

Landless white folks and sharecroppers in the south faired little better than slaves and often enough were in various stages of starvation because of the obscene subsidies for cotton, a program of enrichment for massive companies/plantations at the expense of the people that largely continues to this day. When rail began bringing meat in from the slaughterhouses in Texas and Chicago and local sources of meat became even rarer the average white southerner suddenly couldn't afford meat, when they exhumed the bodies of confederate soldiers they found signs of chronic malnourishment in almost all of them. Union, almost none.

The legislatures of the southern states considered people like these idiots as burdens and dealt with them by imprisoning them for debt and turning them into slaves of the state. Guess what, they are doing it again. If it continues some southern states will have over 5% of their male population behind bars getting 11 cents an hour making office furniture. <a href="http:\/\/www.southernstudies.org\/2010\/10\/institute-index-debtors-prisons-rise-again-in-the-south.html" target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.southernstudies.org/2010/10/institute-...">http://www.southernstudies....
