So I went for the ACDF surgery last Wednesday. They knock you out (fortunately), intubate you, cut a hole in the front of your neck, remove a few discs and bone spurs from the spine and then insert some bone graft material and screws and plates to hold it all together. Fun!! It hurts like hell but the worst part is not being able to sleep lying down. So I'm stuck in the recliner for two weeks, no solid food and backed up from all the pain meds. Had my first double espresso this morning so things are slowly returning to normal. Yay! Thanks for listening to my troubles.
