Over the last eight years, our country has experienced a legislative hissy-fit like no other. Government shutdowns, solemn vows to make sure President Obama can't get anything done, no matter what it is, refusals to give hearings to Supreme Court nominees hearings, etc. etc.
Trouble is, Democrats simply don't have the capacity to get as outraged and as obstinate as Republicans. Democrats could NEVER have pulled off that stunt of investigating Benghazi EIGHT times (making it the most investigated incident in the history of our nation, surpassing the JFK assassination inquiry and 9/11), nor would Democrats mindlessly vote to repeal something over FIFTY times, as Republicans did with the ACA.
So I think it's fair to say that Republicans have a far greater chance of being treated with some degree of decorum and cooperation by the Democrats than the other way round.
So, the resistance plan is confirm all of his ungodly horrible nominees, allow them to send us back to the 1840's and then beg for approval for an infrastructure plan? Vivé Le Resistance.
