Leaving aside the whole Florida election debacle and the US Supreme Court disaster, I think in time history will tell that the 2000 election was one of the worst in our history.

Al Gore is just so far above George Bush as a leader and a person. Bush was the better candidate. There is no doubt in my mind Gore would have been a far better President.

I knew a guy decided in the end he wanted Bush to win reelection because it'd make the revolution come sooner. That didn't work out so well, now, did it?

John Kerry was a genuine hero. Not only did he fight in Viet Nam. He came home and tried to right the wrongs he saw done there. He stood up for his principles - which, after all, are the best American values.
