I have been reading Robyn’s work for about 10 years.

I’ll just say that I am in awe of her talent, perspective, and ability.

Researchers feel they have located Sir's conscience -- or at least a part of it -- in an area of waste ground behind the nineteenth hole of Sir's Doral course. Hopes for reinstating this withered cluster of norms and learned behavior seem slim: "The conscience is not complete and it's been left in the sun for months, perhaps longer" said one specialist, continuing, "that and it's covered in what looks like breading. Deep-fried breading, maybe panko..."

These are also not *cheap* surgeries. Just who do they think is paying for these? No wait, don't tell me; I'm sure the deep-fried MAGAt brains would insist the taxpayers are footing the bill.

Some of the practical logistics of this concern/obsession is problematic.

Not all children spend their entire k-12 education in the same school. What if that nice child just arriving already had a sex change in their last school? Would they need to get an addition sex change now in the new school? What about kids that received sex changes during summer camp? Do they need another sex chance now that school is starting again?

If kids are receiving sex changes every time they go to school / social gathering somehow it will need to be tracked. I propose gender passports that record all the genders the kids have already had and how many they have left until their bones completely disintegrate.

Running amok is not the problem here. It is not knowing where the mok has been.

I work in schools... sometimes in a middle school or two. Even though it is a a rough environment. Even though kids in MS tend to be ruder and more arrogant and uncaring than any other age group, or than they themselves are anywhere else but at school. Even though I sometimes hate the damn bullies and disrespectful jerks between the ages of 11 and 14... I APPROVE of this message.

OTOH, I do not approve of the new Wonkette format. The layout is not attractive, and stories I wish to read are too difficult to find. I cannot afford to subscribe, but I will donate now and then while reading articles I appreciate. The latter of which will happen much less often now. Just my two centavos.

One day I went to high school and lost my penis. Fortunately I found it later that day when I saw Suzy the cheerleader walking down the hall in her very short skirt.

One day when I was in high school I dropped some money and it was stolen by two senior boys. Another day I was hit in the face by an older boy. Regularly I was harassed... by boys. When I was in a car accident and back at school on crutches, 4 or 5 girls were hovering around helping carry my books and getting my lunch and such. So for my comfort in high school, the fewer penises around, the better off I was.

Sometimes I wish a pox on both houses. Yes, trump is hallucinating again. But, people do claim that you can change your sex (sometimes true if you are a fish, mollusc or arthropod but not if you are a mammal).

Most people, whether they be allies, enemies, or anywhere in-between, just don't understand the difference between biological and anatomical sex, which is almost always binary between male and female, and the many culturally and socially imposed gender roles and expectations which are seldom hard-wired or genetically determined. Add that to the small percentage of people who are genuinely, biologically or anatomically non-binary or suffering from gender dysphoria, and it's no wonder people get confused. The best we can do is err on the side of kindness, and just let people get on with their lives as they see fit.

Assuming that schools are the on-ramp for the increase in gender-dysphoria is completely ignoring the changes taking place in the larger culture surrounding them. These reactionary dolts better watch out: if they're not hyper-vigilant, next their kids will be growing their hair long and listening to rock and roll music.

Want to hear from a man completely uninvolved in the education of his children (or with education of most children in the United States)?

Find one who thinks kids go away to public schools for "a few days" at a time.
