No comment about the decision by the Republican sheriff who contributed to GG's campaign to charge him with a misdemeanor rather than a felony? The county attorney is supposedly reviewing the decision, but there's even a question about objectivity there - said attorney is another fundamentalist who goes to the same church as GG.

By the way, the "they're all rubes in Montana" argument reprised in a few of the comments here loses a bit of traction when you realize that early voting is legal and popular here, and 2/3 of the total vote count had already been cast when the Assault Criminal attacked the reporter. (GG is a young-Earth creationist who thinks dinos and humans coexisted, and he was born in San Diego, grew up in the Philly area, and spent a chunk of his business career in New Jersey - thus his nickname here of Jersey Gianforte - i.e., his bizarre and contemptible personality developed elsewhere.)

Well, those of us that live in Minnesota, the only state in the union that didn't vote for Reagan in 1984, has two of the most progressive senators in the country in Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, along with Keith Ellison in congress, a Democratic mayor in Mark Dayton and two liberal mayors representing Minneapolis and St. Paul, might take issue with you and your friends desire to lump us in with hicksville.

Did anyone mention to "Good Ol' Greg" that Washington is flooded with reporters?

He's going to have to body slam the entire press corps just to get to the House chamber.

I'm genuinely shocked that Comey would act so unprofessionally. Now his credibility is completely shot, so Trump might get away with his crimes because Comey is compromised. Trump can also say "look, that guy is a liar, you just can't trust him" and for once, Trump would be right.

Gianforte sent out his 1st press release announcing he will schedule a series of "Beats and Greets with Liberal DC Journalists" once his assault charge is adjudicated in Bozeman. Oddly no video or audio will be allowed at the sessions.

What has happened is the disappearing critical thinking skills of too many Montanans. I hardly recognize what has happened to my home state. The exodus of jobs, education failures, deceptive (LYING) Republican leadership, Fox News and talk radio have all contributed to this tragic decline and hollowing out of the middle class.

Gianforte is but a shallow copy of the earlier day Copper Kings, having hit the jackpot being in the right place at the right time peddling CRM software. His goofy bible thumping notions are just an inch short of a psych hold.

“but now, in this culture, if you respond with any kind of anger, that’s a terrible "

You know, funny thing, if you did strike out at a conservative, they'd be on the phone to a lawyer before they had a chance to put some Bactine on their little boo boos

It is wrong with a capital W but there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that prevents an elected person from serving office if they have committed a crime.

not excusing it just saying as ethically and morally wrong it is....there is nothing in the law to prevent it.

If Germany could re-educate and turn everything around after WW2, we can too... I just hope we don't have to go through a war to get there.
