Before another batcrap crazy news cycle pulls us down into a sea of guano, let's take a minute and deal with Paul Manafort's new lawsuit against the DOJ, Rod Rosenstein, and Robert Mueller. Sure, Manafort is under investigation for laundering money for Ukrainian oligarchs. But Ukraine isn't Russia, so how can a Russia investigator even arrest him for that? Plus, he's
I think the subtext of this lawsuit was instructed to Manafort to do, to keep that "let's discredit Mueller's investigation" train rolling. It's part of a larger defense ploy.
H8 to spoil the fun, but drumpf and the repugs have been packing the courts with their own prosecutors and judges, many that would not otherwise pass a stink test, so it is not unlikely that, once rejected, Manafort could get lucky and find a judge that will flip the law on its head and find for the traitor, however twisted the logic will necessarily be.
"If he pleads guilty to money laundering, he’ll have to tell Robert Mueller all about his dealings with Oleg the Oligarch. And that can be very bad for your health."
That's what they got the WitSec protection program for, Paul.
Now you get to live the rest of your life like a schnook, eating egg noodles with ketchup:
I have read the theory that this is a ploy by Manafort's attorneys to get an early full disclosure on the case they have against him. I don't know enough about the process to have an opinion about that speculation. So far it's just a theory.
Ken Starr was originally tasked with looking into allegedly crooked real-estate dealings by the Clintons, and ended up charging Bill with lying about getting a BJ.
Anyone remember Fox News or the Republicans in Congress jumping up and down about how "unauthorized" and "beyond the scope of the investigation" that was?
And that's all they had, after extensive looking into every damn thing. Marital infidelity (not a crime) and lying about it under oath (crime). Mueller will likely have a whole string of indictments, and won't even have to mention sex with Russian prostitutes.
Manafort keeps looking toward Moscow and whispering, "Vlad, how dost thou forsake me?"

I see your BLUE DRESS and point to KEN STARR!
Paul, there is still a federal witness protection program. You can change your name to Pablo or relocate to Montana and do odd jobs for Editrix.
So: die together in prison? Die surrounded by other prisoners? Just asking.
