"Peter Feaver" - that one's going into my collection. Kind of a porn disco ring to it.

I've been in the Navy going on 17 years. I'm not surprised that support for Trump is down. People do tend to be conservative, but leadership, professionalism, teamwork, the military service's core values, and the oath to the Constitution are taken seriously. Trump doesn't live up to any of that, so yes, that is noticed.

Also, the military is not like the police. I'm glad this article didn't conflate the two as I've seen done on other sites. Compared to the military, which has worked hard to create a culture of equal opportunity over the years I've been in, the police are far more racist and unprofessional.

Well, of course his worthless children won't serve. It's a Trump family tradition to dodge military service, after all.

Plus, they might get thier hands dirty.

From people who took an oath "without mental reservation or purpose of evasion" to defend the Constitution against all foreign and domestic enemies.

Nobody in the service or retired from it can vote with a clear conscience for someone who called for the arrest of a Congressman for his official work, or who claims absolute power.

There's already law enforcement capability to remove trespassers from the White House. No need for the military unless Trump tells his supporters to start a civil war.

The rich ones think they have something to gain. They should study what it's like to be rich in Putin's Russia.

Ditto. At USCG Academy graduation, Cheeto was handed a sword, which Kelly cleverly remarked could be ‘used on the press’. Service/Gold Star be damned - he was/is scum from the jump. Likewise, Bolton.

General Mattis was not prepared to believe people who took the same oath he did would attack First Amendment citizens.

Cheeto’s been stealing $$ for military housing, schools, etc. from DayOne4WALL.MSM has once again failed to expose his betrayals, not only of our nation, but the very offspring of cultists who still support him. This SHOULD move them in ways that COVID & BLM does not, and yet...

News flash: his cultists are not really For Our Troops (tm) either, except as props to fawn over and forget.Which is why they constantly vote for and supporter mother fuckers who take away money from the actual troops and put it into military contractors- and I ain't talkin an environmental group, I am talking about 6 billion dollar planes that do not fly.But I really think the straw breaking the back is that military folk, by and large, really do not want to be sent into American Cities to shoot their friends and neighbors. Trump's blustering about sending in the armed forces is really freaking out the rank and file, so much so, that commanders were recently commanded to talk to their people and reassure them that their voices will be heard.
