Friday's Rachel Maddow Show led off with the kind of reporting you don't see enough of, but that you'd think 24-hour news would be ideally suited for: a fairly in-depth look at the modern history of terror by Islamic radicals in France (which is also wrapped up with that country's former colony, Algeria), and how it connects to the attacks in Paris last week.
Rachel is a badass. I love watching her long intros, trying to predict how and where they'll tie into the current events she's sometimes-not-so-obviously heading for. I have a little platonic crush on her, also too. Always did fall for the smart ones.
Things don't "just happen" in a complex and increasingly interconnected world. Next up: Laurence O'Donnell will explain that water is wet. Great piece, as usual, and as usual it's a shame that the people who really need to understand this won't be seeing it.
Whereas the Speaker of de House is a large, aggressive Camel-smoker.
What is this 'context' of which you speak? We do not find this word in our dictionary.
