Why can't Substack keep track of visited links? Even 1??????
MOST times when I click a link then click back Substack does not return me to where I was. 1 freaking link!
I don't experience this on the vast majority of websites I visit. It's actually quite rare.
But on Substack it is not rare, it is very common.
Just a few minutes ago here I clicked the back button to go back 1 step and I saw two other destinations flash up on the screen vefore the 3rd and WRONG one showed up.
Good dyslexic doG Substack; either get some competent coders OR if you have competent coders let them do their job.
Do not ever navigate the page away from your current place in the comments. Always open any links in a new tab or window. This also applies to the "continue thread" dooickhey -- do not click it. Instead go to the timestamp [of] the comment above, which is actually a link, and right-click/long-click to open that link in new tab or window.
Next time, chucklefuck, just do like Drumpf’s entire cabinet did multiple times, and go with ‘I do not recall’. It’s the US after all, and thanks to the piece of shit asshole party you belong to, it’s bullets whizzing everywhere. Drivebys, school shootings, people could probably totally buy you might have been shot like sixteen times and have simply lost track which bullet that was. Hey maybe several of them took out chunks of what you ever had for a brain giving you yet another excuse.
You’re running for the Pathological Liars Party. Up your game, kid.

Yes, but there's literally no level of failure hard enough to get you bounced out of the Tory party for good.
People have literally been sacked for espionage-flavoured dealing with foreign governments for money and walked back in the next month with a new ministerial post.
Even in the incredible event of someone shitting the bed so hard that the Tory party had to cut ties, they'd just saunter down and join Labour or the Lib Dems.
Once again....why is a rando candidate being courted to set US policy?
That should not be a thing, the press. That is VERY BAD THING the press, that the GOP is allowing this guy to dictate from them from beyond politics. Very bad!
The single most broken aspect of our modern political system is the fact the Republicans have weaponized the press’ need to believe parties are always acting in good faith and unwillingness to call them fucking liars directly to their face.
“I am against a thing my party has run on for 50 years because it makes me look bad”
And people have been yelling at the press for this for at least a decade now and they absolutely refuse to listen or change in the slightest. No wonder they're going under.
You know, the other day when I was getting gas, two chuckle fucks also getting gas in their gigantic trucks were complaining that they could not find good help "even offering 20 dollars an hour" because the "kids don't want to work these days"
This must be a memo that went out or something.
Never mind that places like McDonalds are now offering that, plus benefits, plus college money.
ya know, I've been working since I was 11. First the paperroute, the only thing you can work legally until someone is willing to trust you to babysit. Then it was baby sitting until 15 which is the age you can get a real job. Then retail and food work and so on and as I remember those years, the one thing I clearly recall is:
Employers treat "kid" workers especially like shit.
Maybe it is that, I am thinking, that the kids are objecting to.
It makes more sense to lie about serving your country, as a member of a political party that talks up their love of the military (while doing nothing for actual soldiers), than to lie about the hundreds of things Santos lied about.
I mean, he is lying about how he got his wound and basically blaming his fellows for it to cover up that he is a dipshit who shoots himself in the arm.
oh I coulda told you something like this was happening 20 years ago. It is the logical conclusion to half a century, or more, of increasingly insular politics relying on hate and fear to retain power.
Granted, I thought the country would never have elected Trump, did not think we were that bad off, but that was a perfect storm: a disengaged electorate, massive interference by a foreign power (which had infiltrated our institutions no less) a complicit press media, and apathy on the part of the opposition because their candidate was not perfect enough.
When everyone was trying to blame everyone else for Hillary's loss, I was all like lol, it is ALL y'all. Learn from this.
I include myself in that too. Back then I did not rock the boat and kept the peace and tolerance and all that. As we do because we are afraid (of losing a relationship, of being shot, what have you, fear is fear).
After that, I decided that keeping silent was being taken for agreement and started speaking out. Got a few people mad at me, but they have learned by now that if they do not start it, I won't finish it.
"Hello, tangled web what has been weaved when first Sheehy practiced to deceive. "
Something a friend once told me which I have no reason to doubt, is that the meaningful part of the "oh what a tangled web we weave" saying is the "first practice" part. And that when we get better at lying, we no longer get tangled in it, but tell better lies. According to the poem it is originally from, at any rate.
I'd check it out myself, but that would mean reading a very very long poem by Walter Scott, and nope.
Blaming your fellow soldiers years after the (never happened) fact IS dragging them through the mud. What an ass.
Bone spurs don't lie, though.
"...a total stud..."
What is it with these GOP tuff guys and their man crushes?

I haven't seen *that* particular behavior substack, although it has several *other* shitty UX decisions.
What have you been experiencing?
Better answer: *NEVER* connect one of these "smart" TVs to the internet. Use something else to stream to it.

https://arstechnica.com/security/2024/04/patches-released-for-as-many-as-91000-hackable-lg-tvs-exposed-to-the-internet/
In my household's opinion, the UX of the LG smart TV is just not as good as the Roku I plugged into it.
Oh yea - something else to worry about. We have a LG TV that’s had some weird navigation issues lately. Guess I better check the model.
Guy is a pretty bad liar, too.

Are they genuinely trying to lobby Donald Fucking Trump to not only act in good faith, but seemingly unaware that he’s a Russian asset?
This the same David Cameron? The one who broke the UK and then immediately quit his job? Hasn’t that pig had enough?
Brexit was practice for fucking trump.
Yes, but there's literally no level of failure hard enough to get you bounced out of the Tory party for good.

Once again....why is a rando candidate being courted to set US policy?
That should not be a thing, the press. That is VERY BAD THING the press, that the GOP is allowing this guy to dictate from them from beyond politics. Very bad!
According to Dodgy Dave it's all proper. Gordon met Barack, Dave met Romney etc
Rumours that Trump served suckling pig are unconfirmed.

I'd no listen to anything that pigfucking soap-stone golem has to say.
lol, met, and asked to set national policy, are two VASTLY different things.
When he met with those candidates, he ALSO met with the president at the time
And why didn't the UK Tories send their Foreign Secretary to, say, the sitting President or Senate leadership?
Because it is not the Democrats with whom they have a problem.
Another thing our sainted press should be screaming from the rafters.
Our "sainted" press ... doesn't one have to be DEAD to become a saint? Just askin' questions ...

Wait.
They are now against the thing that they themselves revived?
Bold strategy, cotton
Kari's 180 on the issue is incredibly amusing to me.
What a bunch of flaky assholes.
Watch the press fall all over themselves to say that Democrats are just being mean and Republicans do TOO support abortion rights
Looks like the TST had a bomb thrown at it yesterday. Lovely, at least it did harm anyone.

In case anyone needed a reminder that Dave Ramsey is a fraud and an asshole, here's a headline I just saw:
"Dave Ramsey Snaps at Millennials and Gen Z - 'Can't buy a house because they don't work.'"
I currently own a home. Technically co-human is gen x but I'm a millennial.
My millennial daughters and their husbands have bought houses.
*glances at unemployment numbers*

No, must be that people just don't want to work.
That, and people have been complaining that kids don't want to work since before we invented writing.
I read a newspaper article from the 50's that had people braying the same shit they scream now.
The two oldest existing pieces of writing say these two things:
1. "Kids today are lazy and disrespectful."
2. "Don't buy copper from Ea-Nasir, he's a cheat."
2a. Plus he will mistreat your employees.
SNORK
THIS!

You had WRITING?!
At this point, do we know he was actually a SEAL, and one who saw combat?
Another Santos?????
It makes more sense to lie about serving your country, as a member of a political party that talks up their love of the military (while doing nothing for actual soldiers), than to lie about the hundreds of things Santos lied about.
he cares so much about his platoon getting dragged through the mud that he is willing to throw them under the bus for his political career
I mean, he is lying about how he got his wound and basically blaming his fellows for it to cover up that he is a dipshit who shoots himself in the arm.
Would not put it past him
Who woulda thunk that Santos or Trump or Gaetz or _______ or ______ or . . . or _____ would be the face of the GOP?
WHO?

So much THIS!!!!!
I did not think they get to the incredibly bold brazen megaphonic outright lieing and racism though.
doG dang I was too naive.

Next step in this mess is for some of those old platoon buddies to show up and say they have no idea what he's talking about.
May as well. He is blaming them for shooting him in the arm after all
