INDIVIDUALS who are also members of law enforcement were involved, and should be investigated, hopefully lose their jobs, and potentially be prosecuted. LAW ENFORCEMENT as some sort of larger organization was not. Don’t make the hype any worse than it is.
I don’t know enough about that shit to have a useful opinion. But after the cop shop Bobbit, there’s video of that, I think the rioters stop trying to get in to whatever room that was. And were tending to her. But the video ends. I could definitely see the cop shooting even into the ceiling and them running away. But maybe that’s my vivid imagination.
Those officers who chose to cooperate with the insurrectionists caused the death of at least one of their "brothers" and the injury of others. Even while another Capitol Police officer made the split second decision to lead the insurrectionists away from unlocked, unguarded doors to the Senate chambers, knowing full well that no backup was coming and quite likely believing that he would be killed, these white supremacist infiltrators took fucking selfies with those who would do the killing.
If they were men, they'd do the honourable thing and hand over their badge and gun, or commit suicide, or both. They are not men. I'd call them pussies but I happen to have one and that'd be an insult to my pussy.
The FBI and other intelligence agencies have warned for more than a decade that law enforcement and the military have within them men who either were white supremacists when they joined, or who became white supremacists (name your flavour: Proud Boys, Identity Evropa, Boogaloo Boys, 3%ers, OathKeepers...) after joining. No one listened, and no one did a purge beyond intake screening. This is the fruit of that crooked tree.
Also, that Black Capitol Police officer (I don't think his name has been released, for his protection) needs to be receiving whatever the highest award for valor in law enforcement and under Presidential purview ASAP. January 21st would be lovely.
