Top quotes on Texas Fox talk radio, courtesy of the mouth breathers. Not an original thought among them.

Blather, rinse, repeat:

1. "It's political correctness run amok!" (ref: Glen Beck, probably more than once),

2. They don't deserve free speech if they want us all to live under their Sharia Law!" (ref: could be Alex Jones, could be Sean Hannity, could be the blond macaque known as Ann Coulter. So many contenders),

3. "Send them to 'Gitmo, the Muslim resort.'" (ref: Rush Limbaugh 2005)

4. "Muslims were all responsible for 9/11. They were all dancing in the streets when it happened." (ref: paraphrasing dozens of Fox News pundits)

5. "Obama is lettin' these people stay in this country jus' cause he wants us to have sharia law and be Muslim like him so he can have his empire" (ref:...who knows, one of the bastards. This is tiring)

6. "Now look, we has our own no-go zone at the capitol." (ref:...oh, just fuck you).

But now the Mexicans are taking it back by osmosis.

Actually, I think she may have confused the Muslins and the Mormans.

What I find a little extra-annoying, among all the mindless bullshit, is that if Molly McFuckstick is telling the the truth (about this one thing, maybe, it could happen), "Texas Muslim Capitol Day" was scheduled on a day when none of the goddamned legislators would be in town. Tough to experience examples of how to contact leges if they all gone.

So, survey question. Did this happen because:

1. The Legislature saw the Muslims coming and decided to go into recess and GTFO until the danger was over?

2. Somebody on one side or the other of the scheduling process was A Idiot and didn't realize the leges would be vamoosed.

3. The folks involved in the scheduling process (on both sides) did this intentionally, to shield the legislators from having to talk to Muslims and to keep things realtively "calm".

I like 3 the least.

I think you're right. The Israeli flag is affixed to its own little wood flagpole-with-base, and the US flag is just a tiny American flag taped onto it. (I can tell from the pixels).

This is why I support American Law for American Courts, especially in cases involving women, wives, children and parent-child relationships. Let me remind you that just because the judge in this article says words like voluntary, non binding, and tribunal doesn’t mean he is telling the truth.
Wow. If only we had some reference document that clearly outlined our system of government and enshrined the principles of representative democracy, republicanism and protection of basic human rights and the principles of due process and equal protection under the law. Something that would be designated as the "supreme law of the land." One that also established a judicial system to insure the protection of such rights and freedoms while also providing for equitable and fair application of the law. It would also outline a system of courts of ascending levels, culminating in a Supreme Court, that would have the power to review the provisions and application of all subsequent laws to insure that they maintained compliance with the provisions and principles that are enshrined in the foundational document.

Wouldn't that be just be totally awesome?

I really wish that we had such a document. If we did then there would never be any concern that our governmental authorities and courts would ever be able to base their decisions on sectarian religious laws in contravention of that document and those principles. I even have a suggestion for a name. We could call it "the Constitution of the United States of America." I think that has a nice ring to it, yes?

If there's anything Texans hate more than Muslins and Meskins and Meskin Muslin Sharias put together, it's liberals.

Watching the local Austin news right now they ran video of the protestors. A reporter asked them if they were anti-sharia or anti-Islam and they shouted back in unison 'BOTH!'. A 50s-age Muslim who was interviewed said he heard sharia mentioned more today than in all the years he had been a Muslim, converting when he was 19. Remember Austin is the home of Alex Jones and I even know some people who listen to his braying. Thankfully in the 35+ years I've lived in Austin I've never witnessed any Muslims confronted or heckled. But I've lived 40 miles away for about 3-1/2 years and the Nut Meter may have been ratcheted up.
