Even if the story were true, if Bezos or Musk went to her new home for a party, they would think they were slumming.

How stupid and internet illiterate do you need to be to think a website called Big League Politics is anything but a dumb fuck honeypot for idiots?

I don’t think Nancy’s going to buy any property that’ll be underwater by the time her grandkids inherit it.

I doubt seriously that Nancy would want to be in any measurable proximity to the entire Dump Klan, and most Fox "news" pundits who ACTUALLY LIVE THERE.

SO, to break this down:

In summary and in conclusion, this has been another complete waste of our time (in other words, watching grass grow and drinking wine would have been more productive), brought to us by the worst Americans (The *rump crowd) God (Imaginary sky daddy who no one has ever seen) ever accidentally breathed life into instead of throwing them in the discard pile (like in the movie 300 when they discarded the BABIES).

I just got some more information in this story from a trusted source. Kassidy Peters, daughter of SD Governor Kristi Noem, denied an appraisers license in her home state, has received emergency certification from the state of Florida. She will no doubt give the property a higher appraisal, increasing Pelosi’s property tax, getting Kassidy a higher percentage and owning the libs. I got the scoop ahead of OANN and Newsmax and even Sean Ku Klux Klanitty. Suck my dick, you right wing media gasbags

As someone stated, fridge envy ( and the analog, cookware envy) is a middle class thing. Working class folks don’t give a shit and think it’s all silly.

Wouldn't a real oligarch just buy Le Creusete? Or SubZero? Or Ben n' Jerry's? Or Florida for that matter?

ETA: I'm clearly not thinking DeepState enough-SHE ALREADY OWNS THEM ALLLLL!!1!

ETAmore: Deeper still:The escrow is for Marin County (all of it!)because as soon as Super Idaho is "reinstated next July 4th" the properties in Marin will be bordering that new paradise and finally be worth some real money.

I live in Florida despite the Republican policies because I like Gulf Beaches.

The only other states with Gulf coastlines being Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, it's the only logical choice.

One of the many fascinating aspects of observing right wing freaks, which would be a lot more amusing except for the whole fascism thing, is how they never reflect on the things they believe or predict turn out to not be things that materialize in the actual world. They just move on with no reflection that the thing they were sure was going to happen didn't. The latest is the revamp of Trumpist claims that after the 2020 election COVID would disappear because it was a conspiracy to screw Trump. Well COVID didn't go away because Biden has failed! Obviously! But they have revived that sort of argument with omicron (Persei 8?) variant.

Jupiter Island, FL? Isn't that where most of TFG's spawn are now living?

I'm sure Nancy's just dying to be neighbors.

You know, because it's a sincerely held wingnut religious belief that people are leaving California in droves because "liberal policies." As opposed to it just being too fuckin' expensive because too many people want to live there.

Even that is only marginally true. The Great California Exodus is mostly a myth. In fact, the Right-Wingers may be more right than wrong when it comes to the reason why people are leaving California, those that are actually leaving. Almost every Californian who moves because of high housing costs are moving to other places in California. Many of the ones who are actually leaving the state do think it's a liberal hell-hole and think they'll be happier in regressive red states like Texas, where they can openly be assholes without everybody else telling them so. And then immediately start complaining that Texas isn't as nice a place to live as Cali, which really tells you all you need to know about both their intelligence and their general personalities.

No, no I think they just bought an empty lot . I am not surprised a lot on Indian Creek Island sold for $24 million. They'll still have to build a trash palace on it.
