As much as this crazy appeals to the Orc-base, it repels the Corporations and Suburban voters. They’re already a minority party and they’re marching to irrelevance on the National level

I hope you're right because it's starting to remind me of a pressure cooker. I feel uneasy and that I'm waiting for the explosion. Trump opened up a door that won't be easily closed.

I see that, too. Corporations are sociopathic but data driven entities. Social disruption and anarchy are bad for business and planning, and they will opt for predictable, stable outcomes over potential chaos. They certainly aren't comfortable with irrational, batshit crazy political movements that can do a 180 on any policy on some whim, or because QAnon says the Mole Men have infiltated the NSA. (That one could be true, actually.) So if the consensus builds that the Democrats are going to be the place to go to get your wheels greased, the GOP gets gradually cut out of the loop, a liability, a waste of money. Watch out for a big boost in the corrupting influences of big money looking to drive Democratic party agendas. Over time it will just exacerbate the division between the business friendly Third Way old guard, and the New Progressives. They will eventually start to split in earnest to form an actually viable progressive party, which is fine with me, as long as everyone has taken the time to destroy the political viability of the smoking embers of the Trumpublican Party FIRST. It has to be killed before we can safely move forward. Killed with fire. I mean votes.

I see isolated violence, but these idiots would have trouble organizing a 3 car funeral

I know we haven't seen any evidence of their organization skills, but they are ripe for infiltration by foreign actors who may use them to hurt this country. I hope any authorities are keeping a close eye on them.

Aren't there any vacant archipelagos we can send this dipshits to?

With their self-proclaimed superiority, I am sure they could prevent the islands from sinking due to climate change while growing food using salt water.

Some stats via Krugman:The GOP has only won the popular vote once since 1988, in 2004. That's 33 years.

There are 41 million more Democrats than Republicans. (I'm not sure how that fits with 74 million people voting for Trump.)

A lot of Republicans call themselves Libertarians or Independents. It definitely says something when reliable supporters of a Party are ashamed to say so out loud.

Unfortunately, some aspects of stochastic terrorism are inherently self-organizing. Look at the effect that the mere threat of random violence is having on Republican lawmakers.

At some point, we really have to point out that those “responsible, law-abiding gun owners” do not include the gun lobby’s most vocal mouthpieces in congress.
