I don't claim to be a Christian, so I'll judge all day, every day.

...the Episcopalians are the fastest shrinking church in the US in large part because its leadership has abandoned the gospel message for a worldly one that Buttigieg reflects.

Naked racism. Naked pursuit of wealth and self-interest. Forcing millions into miserable poverty and denying them the most basic necessities of life. Sexual assault. Sexual assault of children. Leaving Puerto Ricans to die. Leaving Americans to die through lack of health care. Leaving Flint citizens to suffer from poisoned water. Ceaseless lying. Baby concentration camps.

And it's Episcopalians who have abandoned the Gospel? Fuck this Erickson shitstain, fuck the horse he rode in on and fuck the cow that died to make the saddle.

I'm not even American, and fucking American "Evangelists" have been the final nail in my faith's coffin. Because if God existed, He would surely strike down every single one of these hate-filled shit lickers who use His name as a fig leaf for their evil. Straight up thunderbolt the fuckers. The Old Testament God killed a bunch of people who touched the Ark of the Covenant without proper authorisation because they were trying to stop it falling off a cart, and the modern version can't smite these blasphemers? Fucking weak sauce, I'm done.

Fuck everything.

They all seem to overlook this fine point.

Well hell, I don't see how I can argue with that kind of logic. ;-)

On top of that; The "Holy Roller" churches that hate everybody will be losing followers, eventually, too.

Is this exchange between Daniel and Shocked the non-believers' version of the medieval theologians arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? ;)

It's easier to reason about as a 2 dimensional scale. One axis ranges from theism (believes in a God) to atheism (doesn't believe in a God), the other from gnosticism (knows if there's a God, whether that answer is positive or negative) to agnosticism (doesn't know if a God can be proved or disproved).

Standard Christianity involves gnostic theism, both knowing and believing in a God. Gnostic atheism is best described as not believing in a God and knowing there isn't one (the positive is about the certainty of belief, not the existence). Most atheists, including myself, would probably self describe as an agnostic atheist, not believing in a God, but also thinking there's no way to get proof on it one way or the other. Agnostic theism is not really a thing in reality.

Edited to clarify gnosticism.

However, I'd most describe myself as an apatheist, which is that I neither think of nor care about religion, unless explicitly prompted, and then I consider it in a social context, not in a personal belief context.

Does Erickson know that when King The Donald is in FL and wants to pretend he is a church goer, he attends the Episcopal Church For Rich People By The Sea? Sorry for the snark; it may be uncalled for - I don't know. I'm very pleased that my denomination did this, although there are certainly Episcopalians who are stormtrumpers, and will be flouncing out of their parishes after learning this.
