Watching the MAGAts justify this is going to be fun!! My guess is that it was the Orange Shitweasel himself that altered the map because he was too stupid to have one of his toadies Photoshop it. Plus, he loves him some Sharpies!!

Iowa has relatively non-partisan districting for the House. The districts are compact and make some sense.

Unfortunately, the upper-left corner of the state, King's district, is richly blessed with rural, white, Dutch Reformed evangelical Protestant socially "conservative" rightist authoritarians, staunch foes of abortion and immigration, and it would take an extreme Democratic gerrymander to divide them up enough to dilute their bigotry.

A computer, given the proper mathematical and logical algorithms, could easily draw non-partisan districts.

They’re not going to let him either weasel out of it, or shore up support, without first getting a guarantee that they will not exit w/o an agreement.
