Same thing happened at Santa Clara Univ in the late 70's. We were a club team (we paid for nearly everything) for two years before we bitched enough to get added to the roster of real teams. Then we still got the men's hand me down uniforms, shitty practice times, and lost every game. Fast forward a decade and the team won the NCAA championship. Amazing what a bit of money, a great coach, and recruiting will do.

Instead of apologizing the NCAA shows that they could have had a weight room all along since it only took them 24 hours (of shame) to come up with something halfway decent (pink lighting, really?). Are they going to tell us that the food was gonna get better further into the tournament too?
