I assume the good governor and his state attorney general are hard at work prosecuting the companies illegally employing undocumented workers.

Just a reminder, humble California farmer and Congressman, Medal of Freedom awarded, Devin Nunes employs illegal immigrants on his family farm in *checks notes* Western Iowa.

I have been to lots of slaughterhouses. Would guestimate at least 85% spanish speaking. In my youth it was a good paying union job with mostly white people doing the work. They killed the unions, wages, health care, and other benefits. White people fled to better jobs. These spanish speaking folks (in general) have an amazing work ethic. Good Catholics and good family values. Plus great taco stands next to the plants. Biden should do a Ronnie Reagan and say they are all legal now. Conservatives will stroke out, but fuck em.

Well, that’s not quite true. While they were definitely here first before the beginning of anyone’s written/oral history, ancestors of Native Americans came over from Eurasia tens of thousands of years ago. https://www.sciencemag.org/...

This would be hilarious if it weren't so stupid: Illegals working in meatpacking plants shouldn't be given the vaccine; but there are no illegals in meatpacking plants because the JPS lobbyist I had lunch with today told me they don't do that kind of thing. So vaccines for all meatpacking plant workers!

Yeah, it's an unfortunate story. Eric Schlosser documents it quite well in Fast Food Nation.

New rule, anyone who pays taxes and passes a background check can take the test, become a legal immigrant. Is there a test?

Yeah I’m with you. Not trying to move any goal posts. I just had to post an interesting factoid.
