When the Sonic man came to install my service I asked him if NN was still their policy. He said yes but I think he may have been one of the people who aren't sure what it is. He was nice though!

And a friend/ schiff schupporter was complaining he didn't like porter because she was to close to the squad. Couldn't give a single issue or event he didn't like just random background hate of them for being leftist(ish).

As far as I know, no net neutrality rules apply to smartphones. So although this is a good backstop, for many people, their access to the internet is completely controlled by their phone provider, with fast lanes for streaming services and stuff already built in.
I've long suspected AT&T of doing this. Good for the FCC.
Ted Cruz tweeted at the time that net neutrality was "Obamacare for the internet." Or maybe it was "Nazism for the internet," or "Communism for the internet," or some fucking meaningless hyperventilating hyperbole oh why am I even bringing it up.
My husband used to testify in his job-- for AT&T. It was their position to maintain N. neutrality. Has it changed? All the positions were progressive in those days. You wouldn't think so but it was true. They had certain duties toward the public good, by law. Guess that's all changed by now.
Every corporation who can get away with it does it. They throttle until the customer calls with complaints of slow internet. Those with higher rate speeds get priority so they throttle the poor.
