I've heard there is a push to have Trey "Cut Congressional Research Budget" Gowdy (R- RYFKM) to be the new Darrell "Lying Liar Face" Issa (R-INFKY).

I have no doubt that Issa's full-time sleaze and asshattery circus is seen as a positive by many of his constituents. It's hard to imagine an entire district full of such morons, but don't underestimate the GOP's knack for gerrymandering.
It's not that right-wing ideas come from billionaires, who are no more and no less likely to have an idea than the next racist yahoo. It's that billionaires get to decide which ideas succeed in the conservative marketplace, while the liberal market for ideas gets a bit more churning.
