It’s worse than that. “Unless a government agent's act is so obviously wrong, in the light of preexisting law, that only a plainly incompetent officer or one who was knowingly violating the law would have done such a thing, the government actor has immunity from suit.” Even if they KNOW it’s wrong, it doesn’t matter. The question is whether the stupidest cop imaginable WOULD have known. Lassiter v. Ala. A&M Univ. Bd. Of Trustees, 28 F.3d 1146, 1149 (11th Cir. 1994)
I live here and I wonder this as well. The roll out has been incredibly smooth here, especially compared to the vaccine 'hunger games' I've read about in other places. Here's how it went down for me. I filled out a short form on the Health Department's website, vaccinenm.org back around New Year's. They sent me a text in late Feb that there was some 'first come first serve' availability near me (this was way early as I was in one of the lowest priority groups, so I'm guessing they had extra appointments even back then). I followed the link, entered the registration code they gave me, and a couple of days later I was getting my first shot at a Walgreen's. They automatically scheduled my follow up exactly three weeks later...and today is exactly 14 days from #2 so I am officially fully vaccinated now.
Bullshit they’re innocent. The dumbass taxpayers elected the sonsabitches who are responsible for preventing this stuff. They SHOULD feel a pinch so that maybe they’ll vote better next time. Not to mention, municipalities can buy insurance.
I recall an interview with Stan Lee. He said that he wanted to age Peter Parker over the years—“then he got to graduate school where he could stay indefinitely {with laughter}.”
I seriously considered relocating to Santa Fe. I even visited in the winter to see what that was like. The first day I was there, there was a snow storm and my rental SUV got stuck and had to be towed out. The second day they had a cold snap and it got down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Well, ok, there are places with more serious winters than that, but I decided that was too cold for me.
Ok so you’d feel comfortable going to Minneapolis and getting up in front of some BLM organizers and telling them that they have it all wrong and you’re the there to help them find a much BETTER slogan (in your humble opinion)?Because to me that’s the acid test on this. You think they don’t know full well that there are people who don’t like the slogan? And yet they insist it’s the one they want to use. Why’s that?
I left Texas 23 years ago for rural Taos county. I never looked back.

There is very little I can say in response to this.

Breibart's been neutered. It's worse than when they were just dripping.Pure desparation there.
After all, the victim could be a fathead, a musclehead, or a bonehead. No damage to vital organs.
Touché!

Root and branch?
But would he put a ring on it.
Wouldst thou leaf deny it?
No need to be spriggish.
Elmementary, my dear Watson.
