I realise it’s kinda an ancillary issue—I mean the guy’s carrying water for a fascist junta, trying to tarnish and bring legal pain against one of those investigated their criminality—and this alone should really be enough to hang his lying criminal ass…
… but I figure in the politics of quite a few nations—the US prominent among these—it’s a particularly costly error to be this wrong about a sporting event.
The lesson here kids is that the Republican Party has internalized trump’s corruption so deeply that they just assume that literally everyone is as stupid and corrupt as they are.
Among life's mysteries is the fact that, within any organization, there is ALWAYS an apex paragon of stupidity and laziness who is either fired or dies or retires or leaves and the role of "Lazy & Stupid" is vacant. But that vacuum is quickly filled by another who steps right in and takes up the crown and wears it proudly. That person, often, had been someone who was NOT lazy and stupid or was not apparently lazy and stupid. This happens all the time.
The GOP is now no longer waiting for the apex Lazy/Stupid Leader to leave the stage before trotting out it's latest lazy & stupid man to fill the spot.
