I agree that the ‘x’ feels awkward. I just think it’s language evolving, and if the people who benefit most from the change prefer the ‘x’ then I will use it. It’s hard to say what is preferred on the larger scale, until a trend appears. And, there’s probably also regional preference, as there almost always is for terminology.
I’m sitting here trying to think of myself using ‘Latine’ and I feel just as awkward.
I am given to understand that "Hispanic" refers to people of Spanish ancestry, while "Latina/o" refers to people from Mexico and places south. So, for example, Brazilians are Latino but not Hispanic (the place was taken over by the Portuguese), and Tejanos are Hispanic but not Latino.... It's all confusing, and the distinction will almost certainly fade over the decades.
Hispanic is linguistic, and Latine is geographical.
Part of the reason for replacing Hispanic with Latine if that under the linguistic rubric people from Spain could receive, for example, targeted scholarships for people from South and Central America.
Under the Latine definition the focus is on people from colonized Central and South America. Of course issues of class are not even remotely addressed in either case. However, it can help in things such as university support groups being taken over by loud mouthed Midwestern white American assholes who have Spanish surnames. I know, you are SHOCKED that this could happen. This is also my shocked face.

Is he saying it’s the Republican Party that’s “plumbing the depths”? And if so, of what? Their morality?
We already know there is no bottom.
So Race just flat out murdered that guy being hoist by the mummy at 0:25? OO

"e" denotes feminine in French, iirc.
It was, I say, it was a joke, son.

Race was a spy and sometimes you have to be ready to swing whichever way is gonna get the job done, whatever your personal preferences may be.
The guy was the villain of the episode so what Race did was self defense... or so his lawyer says.
That is an excellent link!

You forgot speculators and money launderers.
"...enact transformational change in the absence of any compelling mandate from the American people to do so."
By "American people" he means "only people who voted for Trump".
It’s called a speed suit!
