Here are things that many people out of state do not understand.

First of all, regarding NYC, like many of the largest cities in the US, the percentage of murders is lower than in some states. Plus if you are walking around Manhattan with an M-15 you ARE going to be noticed very quickly and likely stopped before much can happen. Plus most Manhattanites do NOT want to shoot up the city they live in.

As for NYS, we don't have anywhere near the percentage of MAGAts as other states do, and yes, while the Buffalo murder was done by someone who lived near Binghamton, about 200 miles away, the number of mass murders is nowhere near as many as in the red states.

Gov. Hochul is doing the best she can, along with AG Letitia James, to stop all sorts of crimes in New York, but of course some the most major crimes are financial, virtually all of which ultimately affect the whole nation. After all, many of the most major companies out outrright criminals, and funnel their ill-gotten gains through the NY Stock Exchange. Such is the fate of being in the largest city in the country.

I live in Central NY, and have been to NYC more times than I can count. I have never been afraid there once, yet I have felt very afraid while down south, especailly when I once travelled with two black women (I'm a white guy).

Of course, as they say, your murders may vary.
