All this means is there weren't any other Mary Peltolas who could be bribed by the GOP in Alaska to run for senate for the repubs are mad they didn't think of it.

Doing something that hurts Don's feelings does not make it a crime. Thank you for tour attention in this matter.

The only part I’m worried about is if Alaskan public opinion on this pretty clever tactic turns sour, and it costs us this Senate seat.

A Democrat strategizing to win votes? Gotta be illegal.

The question I have is did Trump and Blanche have a heads up about the story coming out? I mean, he only started talking about it in the last week and Blanche pretty followed through on the threat of lawsuit.

Of course they did. I'm not saying that the NYT let them in on it. Maybe somebody in Alaska let them know that some guy from the NYT was writing a story. That would explain why they shot their wad early anyway. You know, because Trump.

Just wondering when talking to a newspaper turned into sworn testimony. Is he still getting legal advice from Katie Zacharia?

The Times is on a roll today. They also served up a big fat juicy nothingburger of an article about the charges against Ilhan Omar.

The deeply buried nut graf was that there is no evidence against her. The rest is a lot of blah blah blah about "the controversy" and "investigations." Of course I won't link.

I canceled the WaPo when it became intolerable and subscribed to the Times. Am I going to have to cut them loose too? Crap like those "stories" and their ridiculously unfair, borderline idiotic coverage of Zohran Mamdani is just making my teeth ache.

Please do cut them loose, too. They're garbage.

Typical *Times* disingenuous coverage. The Gray Lady is lying and cheating as always, putting their rich bitch thumb on the scale of the Republic....

This is exactly why McCain's Law is the perfect accessory to Murc's Law. And note that more feigned outrage will be thrown against Democrats when fighting fire with fire. This is the same play as when Republicans use their Green Party subcontractors to spoil the ticket.

Note that this is further going to be used to excuse Republican misdeeds because "everyone's doing it."

And never forget, Democrats need to be perfect. Republicans only need *excuses.*

Funny day on Wall St. Google reported for the quarter. That is only 3 months for you bidness newbies. Yes 3 whole months. They disappointed by about $1.5 Billion on search monies coming in. Something about some AI gets rid of ads. Seems a bit odd. Don't AI wanna make money?

Anyways, too much more munies going the wrong way as well. Like $9.1 Billion. That's like over $100 million a day loss for a quarter. You'd think AI was going above and beyond with that, but you ain't seen nuttin' yet! The Market said "NOPE" and sold off. And then Google gave Nvidia a run for their record loss of $593 Billion with $524 Billion loss of equity of their own. Good for All Time Second Place. Whew! Them's mighty big numbers for this ole country boy!

I'm a-telling you. Meanwhile liddle ole Apple and boring Walmart up about 2.5 % each for the day. Ho hum.

Assuming the question in your first paragraph is genuine, I will presume to answer:

"Search money" means money generated by websites getting extra eyeballs from links in Google searches. AI wipes that out by giving searchers answers up front without requiring any further clicking. It apparently has had a huge negative effect on digital ad revenues.

The Republicans would do well to heed the words of their own JD Vance, who reminded everyone that politics can be a rough business.

And if it's rough enough for an ad that takes the side of a pedophile-enabling monster mother, it's rough enough for the time-honored, wheezy, literally-before-I-was-born "double name" trick.

To quote Vance again: "Grow up."

The FNYT's hilarious, disingenuous outrage over this dastardly plot to confuse Alaskan MAGAts and its echo from the cavernous vacuum inside Agent Krasnov's skill are particularly ironic given Russia if you're listening's decisive interference in 2016 and Apartheid Elmo's ginormous investment from overseas hundreds of millions in Dear Leader's service this go around. Ah, well, Murc's Law might as well be carved in stone, it is so ineluctable. There is no rat fucking too foul or too obvious for the Pedophile Protection Party to commit with impunity nor is there any irregularity committed by Democrats too minor to be prosecuted to the fullest blah blah blah.
