About time the gloves came off. Now shit gets interesting, and amusing. You can't lock 25 people under high pressure in a room for a year and not end up with some sniping and backbiting and out-and-out hostility surfacing.

This is gonna be good.

I could be projecting, but it sure looks like Bernie and Warren are doing the, “omg can you believe this crazy person” cringe/smile signal to each other while Tulsi cluelessly beams.

Sanders elevated and popularized: a living wage, healthcare for all, expanding public education. That's good shit.

Additionally, Sanders was the convener and first CPC Chairman elected unanimously! .The Congressional Progressive Caucus has passed Union Protections (Sanders written and sponsored) and 19 other bills that President Obama signed into law!

"Not me, Us" is how he has achieved such great success with his teams in both the House and Senate.

Thanks for taking the time to give me a response, ronbo. I'm new to this place and kind of like it here, especially the level of snark on the part of the writers and the intelligence and humor I've seen on the part of the commenters. Think I'll wait here awhile, see what happens.

The Times at least has the almost-courage to suggest they leaned Warren but then wussed out and added Klobuchar for "balance":

I hope they are endorsing both, but really mean Warren.

I had to google to be sure I wasn't imagining this, but in fact, this guy sure could have, if Mecca had been in Europe:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

Musa I (c. 1280 – c. 1337) or Mansa Musa was the tenth Mansa, which translates to "sultan", "conqueror", or "emperor", of the wealthy West African Islamic Mali Empire. At the time of Musa's rise to the throne, the Malian Empire consisted of territory formerly belonging to the Ghana Empire in present-day southern Mauritania and in Melle (Mali) and the immediate surrounding areas...During his reign, Mali may have been the largest producer of gold in the world; it was at a point of exceptional demand for the commodity. He was one of the richest people in history; Time magazine reported: "There's really no way to put an accurate number on his wealth."

...During [his reign], there was an advanced level of urban living in the major centers of the Mali. Sergio Domian, an Italian scholar of art and architecture, wrote of this period: "Thus was laid the foundation of an urban civilization. At the height of its power, Mali had at least 400 cities, and the interior of the Niger Delta was very densely populated."

It is recorded that Mansa Musa traveled through the cities of Timbuktu and Gao on his way to Mecca, and made them a part of his empire when he returned around 1325.
