I really needed to find some humor in the insane hype going on rn, thank you Evan!

Ta, Evan. Every Democrat and every D-leaning Independent voter in this country has one job: Vote Biden-Harris and a straight Democratic ticket down the ballot. There's more to do: send postcards, knock on doors, etc. but the most important thing we can do is VOTE.

Joe Biden is all wasps. He’s just like a million wasps who fly around in the shape of a man and wear people clothes.

Whar Chump?

No one's seen him in ten days.

He's drinking adrenochrome and leafing through the materials that he confiscated from Epstein before having him killed.

I just cancelled my subscription to the NY Times and cited this article as the last straw. Washington Post may be next. So tired of both siderisms, the click bait articles, and their desire for a horse race.

"Unfortunately, Dr. Cannard did not respond to the New York Times’s hounding about the nature of his visits in time for publication, so they just went with whatever they had."

The late, and for me unlamented Howard Fineman did that to me in 2004. I can't prove it, but I suspect that the timing of his request for comment was timed to ensure that I would not respond before the deadline, as the email had been sent in the middle of the night, and the story had been posted before I had even made my morning coffee. It's not an uncommon practice. So yeah, I'm giving the New York Tripe some serious side-eye on this, doubly so as Newsweek was a far more ethical and credible news source in 2004 than the Times is today, with its extensive history of publishing factually incorrect hit pieces and then stealthily "correcting" them to keep people from drawing the obvious conclusion about their "reporting."

"Did this start because the Times takes its journalism seriously, or is it because the Times is a bitchy little twink that’s been mad for months that Biden wouldn’t do an interview with them, which ultimately set the ball rolling to this point? Wellllll."

If it had been anyone else, I'd be wondering, but Evan you DO have a way with words.

She is doing a horrible job, as common. A Neurologist treats nerve issues in any area of the body. If he has neuropathy in his feet, please don't stretch the neurologist visit to interpret that the doc is treating his mind. Just because a neurologist has a specialty for Parkinson's doesn't mean every case he sees is for that. She finally said, very late in the rabble, that he saw a neurologist 3 times as part of his 3 annual physicals, and ~no more~. She should have been clear about that from jump. I'm sorry, but KJP seems to have some of the same trouble explaining simple concepts that Joe does. Once you've see Psaki, can never go backi. She'd'a ended this nonsense in 30 seconds.

I'm just going to say this.

The White House press corps - who is mostly White -- is MUCH MORE VICIOUS with KJP than they ever were with JPsaki, even if they were even more obsequious with the Republican Stepfords Sarah Sanders and that blonde who faked getting good grades at Harvard whose name I can't even remember and up with whose abuse they put.

There is a difference between KJP and those other women.

As much as White people like to pretend race is "no problem" in this country, the power dynamic that DIFFERENCES in race produce is underneath almost every other problem here in these United States where White people are keeping the lion's share of power and resources for themselves.

But White people don't want to talk about that because it lays that mess bare.

Stop criticizing KJP without context of that dynamic -- and don't deny that dynamic exists, because then that makes you not credible and people won't take you seriously.

They've done studies on this stuff. Come on.

Thank you. I've noticed this too.

Another big problem is racist white people who don't want nice things because they don't want black people to get them. For instance, requiring premiums for Medicare, done because some thought blacks couldn't afford them. We'd be like Norway by now if not for the crappy people in this country.

That did not exactly start this morning.

Right after the Civil War, there was a proposal for the United States to have universal healthcare.

Do you know why we don't have it to this day?

Because White people didn't want Black people to have it.

This. This. THIS!

As someone who has neuropathy affecting my hands and lower legs and has left me with dexterity/balance/mobility issues, I want to go to a very public space and scream this at the top of my lungs. My body may be compromised by a f@cked up nervous system, my brain is still as sharp as ever. I find the media's insinuations of Biden being intellectually diminished because he has some level of neuropathy to be horribly ableist and overall insulting.

I have a genuine feeling of being psy-opped by our "liberal" media. It's all Old Joe, all the time. Even when defenders of Joe point out trump's crimes, lies, and unfitness for office, the hosts of the cable 'news' shows just offer a vague acknowledgement, and U-turn right back to 'concerns' about Joe's brain. I like a lot of evidence with my CTs, but this is beginning to look very much like a RW/Fox style coordinated effort to turn people away from Joe. Goddammit.

By the so-called "liberal" MAINSTREAM media whose C-suites and shareholder rosters are full of Confederate Republicans ignoring the Fairness Doctrine and pushing their vews and "recommendations" for coverage into editorial because they never cared about those rules.

If you want actual news coverage about things that matter -- like fighting autocracy and fighting FOR democracy and freedom -- you have to come here to Wonkette and read, and read people like Joyce White Vance, Professor Ruth BenGhiat (expert on autocracy), and Dan Rather, all of whom have substacks -- and watch the slate of programs Mary Trump and her Nerd Avengers are developing with contributors like attorney and law professor Jen Taub

I agree. WaPo had a recent shake up that resulted in a former Murdoch fucker in charge of the paper. They've generally been better than the NYT, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't notice the difference over there too.

I think trump spokesmoron said it all when she said that the Democrats should just quit the race. Rage yam would like to run unopposed, like the future King that he is. But even if you have a modicum of respect left for the NYT's, you have to ask yourself what does Fox news want us to do? They want Biden out just like the NYT's. And when does Fox news have the Democratic party's well-being on their agenda? Never. They want, Putin wants, and obviously the NYT's want him to resign. Don't comply in advance.

Especially since I don't see a path forward if he does. Somebody present me with a fait accompli solution and I'll consider it. But with the Heritage foundation prepared to sue the shit out of the Democrats no matter what move they made; I don't see a path forward. Even if Kamala became the nominee they would try and prevent her from getting the campaign dollars, they would sue in states to keep Biden on the ballot, keep her off, and SCROTUS would agree. It would be a shitshow. Sorry, Stephen Colbert, I do think that Biden is a good enough man to make a "sacrifice," but he believes, and I believe that sacrifice wouldn't be his own, it would be Democracy.
