That is the NYTimes: respect for all the Nazis all around.

You don't know what I am talking about when I provided a link to a 7000 word story by Dexter Fiklins that describes it in detail? That documents that Banquet knowingly lied to help Trump?

Doing the reading and changing your mind in the face of new information are reasonable options. Blathering on about the awesomeness of the Times is an option, but not one that is worthy of anything but contempt.

The scandals you mention have been broken by the Post, Slate, and other outlets without NY Times leadership. They lead in Cletus safaris, "inside look" access journalism, and tongue baths for Nazis.

The Times desperately needs to do better. Pretending that they are good does not help.

Your feckless idiot friends are also wrong. You are NOT DEALING WITH REALITY IN SUPPORTING A PAPER THAT HAS A GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE DENIER AS A CONSTANT MAJOR COLUMNIST. Do not give me that opinion/reporting shit you stupid twat because that in no way justifies it.

ANY FACTUAL WAY YOU EXAMINE THE QUESTION YOU ARE JUST AN ACCESS-LOVING TWIT

And by providing your slavish pathetic worship of the Mighty Times you are encouraging them to continue their dangerous behavior unchanged.

Do the fucking reading, you idiot.

on overall coverage, here is data which is, unlike your group in your precious bubble, actual data:https://www.mediamatters.or...

The New York Times has broken a lot of stories about all sorts of scandals that have been beneficial to the democratic party. Scott Pruitt had to resign because of scandals that came from NY Times reporting. Ben Carson not growing up in public housing, tons of stuff on Trump. The latest that he manipulated his dads will was a NYT story. I'm not sure what youre specifically talking about above but the

Jesus Christ, are you for real? I showed this to three or four people I was having lunch with who exist in the real world outside this message board and youve lost it.

I absolutely understand your frustration with the Trump administration and people who support them, but being on the right side of history doesnt give you carte blanche to be an a-hole. By directing your anger to honest and hard working people in the middle of all this who arent your allies (theyre not required to be) youre not being logical, productive, or making us democrats look good and youre displaying a lot of dogmatism.

I disagree with you and I'm a Democrat actively working for democratic causes (including canvassing). DEAL WITH THAT REALITY

“MAGATs.” Make America Great Again Terrorists. Trump, like most small, weak, insecure men, calls for violence whenever someone simply exercises their right to criticize him or his party of syncophants. And because he has no virtues or decency, he doesn’t demand civility from his followers. Like the leader of any dangerous cult, he empowers the disenfranchised, and the most disturbed among them is hearing his call to arms loud and clear, and they are acting in his name. Donald Trump is personally responsible for the deaths of many, many people, and it feels like he’s just hitting his stride.

Good people on both sides.

You are an idiot with no shame, and negative self awareness. You can spend your entire life licking "access journalists" shit-stained assholes and whatever you get from this you deserve.

Those babies in cages from #ButHerEmails? Those poor murdered worshipers? They do not deserve it.

You are hurting people. Stop.

Somehow are we not still allowed to call him the MAGAbomber? I don't think that's over the top or cheap, but looks like I'm outvoted in the media.

Hmmm, ok. I respect your take

Just out of curiosity, what's "just because both sides got it wrong" refer to?

I haven't looked at The New York Times since I stopped doing their crossword puzzle in the 1980s. It was the only value in it.

Dear Stephen I looked you up on twitter and I have to admit I now have a mad crush on you. You write brilliantly and beautifully, you have the 13th Doctor on your wall, and you retweet Star Trek! My wife thinks I am insane (which is true and irrelevant) but I want to say thanks for making me laugh even when I want to cry and my wife says you won her over with Jodie Whittaker.

You may be right, but it's still annoying sometimes. I actually kind of liked "When they go low, we kick 'em". It was an obvious reference to Michelle's "we go high", knowing Holder, the disclaimer sentence after was redundant, and it's short enough for a slogan.

I have to say, this is probably the most accurate of any interpretation I've seen. Sometimes the most obvious solution is the one in front of you.

Personally, I'm not convinced that "normalizing" is a legitimate concern, especially in journalism.

With Villago on this one. Just because both sides say they got it wrong does NOT mean the NYT is not sucking up to the GOP. If you are a journalist yourself, you should know the difference between straight reporting and propaganda propping op-eds which for them nearly always skews toward the GOP.They are a subsidiary. And "pissing off a few liberals" gives them credibility? I thought you said reality is reality! HUH.
