Tabernacle! Je regrette infiniment d'être loin de la ville de Québec en novembre ou n'importe quand, d'ailleurs.
I am also far from Detroit where at least I have some family where could couch-surf. My costume would have been Zorro with both eye and face masks. Feel free to steal this idea. The Man in the Iron Face Mask would also work.
And Coxsackie! Home of the Coxsackie virus! Again, sorry.
I have a sinking feeling that we Americans have no excuse for anything anymore.
Only think: American cheese. That alone fills me with deep shame and regret.
At least, as Ron DeSantis points out, we were in the vanguard of finally freeing the slaves and a whole lot of thanks we get for that from, uh, those people!!!!1!!!!11!!!!!1111!!!!1
I remember the get together at Fargo a few years ago. I wanted to attend. But then I had a dose of whatever the flu variant was going around and was coughing my lungs out.
I remember a fabulous fete in Seattle several years ago. Dok was our host, and he almost didn't make the drive from Idaho because his car, Vlad the Impala, had died. Somehow, I won a little wind-up walking nun who was holding a ruler with sparks flying out of her mouth. Very appropriate for this recovering Catholic school student.
If anyone is interested in organizing a N. Texas/Kansas/Missouri/New Mexico meetup, please let me know. I can't be the lead in organizing one, but I am an excellent support person.
Hehe. Niice
If I didn't already have my tickets for Greenfield Village's Halloween for the same night I'd be there!
Well, maybe if I leave NOW.... Hey, isn't there a flying saucer shuttle out of Roswell? 😄
Fiesta weekend in Calpe next weekend, all welcome.
D-troit was where I met the Edimatrix for the first time at the very first Wonkette meetup, I believe...
That's when I was in my cowboy phase. 🤠https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
Quebec City ! Ooh la la ! Where is Coxsackie, NY and how far is it from Ottawa ? I'm near Ottawa. I postulate it's on the Hudson river...

Wonkmeets are fabulous. Wonks are fabulous. Getting Wonks together IRL? Priceless.
