That recession that Trump is starting will spread like measles to all corners of the planet. No reason at all why Americans should be the only homeless, penniless, starving, people on the planet. Maybe Trump will skip Gaza and build his Riviera in Florida. Opening in September when the hurricanes start to bloom.
Absolutely, deporting the people who BUILD our houses will definitely increase the supply. Oh and by the way those people could certainly never afford to BUY one of the houses they built…
I’m 100% sure all the investors and 401k holders are soothed and feelin’ fine despite tanking markets and mounting losses. Tesla shareholders have lost 35% this year. According the media, those shareholders are “concerned.” I love the whitewashing the media does whenever Trump denigrates the White House by giving sales pitches for cars, or tells voters to “shut up” about eggs. So what if he guaranteed grocery prices would come way, way down on “day 1,” that was just a lie, silly rubes.
But when Joe Biden stumbled over a word, the media reported that our government was leaderless, hopeless and America was doomed.
“Honey, I lost 35% of our nest egg, and more is evaporating every day. I have concerns.” (Fiddling while Rome burns).
There's this little-known (to Trump and Musk, I mean) feature of capitalism that it's good to keep in mind: while it may appear that this economic system thrives on "chaos," it actually thrives on a steady supply of predictability. The chaos is only apparent. The markets, and the businesspeople who run and maintain enterprises, need RELATIVE STABILITY if they are to operate properly and turn good profits. Everything President Musk and his sidekick are doing brings with it actual chaos. That is devastating to markets and enterprises. We may well be headed for another Great Depression, brought to us by Musk & Trump. And by the way, wasn't it in part unwisely imposed tariffs that pushed us toward the first Great Depression? (Along with a wild, unsecured banking system.)
"As Fox personality Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday talked about Trump “looking from 30,000 feet above” and being fine with what he claims will be only a temporary “disruption” to the economy, the ticker showed share prices dropping, dropping and then dropping some more.
In less than two minutes of Bartiromo’s show, the market lost almost 100 points.
Bartiromo attempted to explain away the plunging market, putting it down to “companies and investors getting used to a new day, a new sheriff in town.” Trump is luring “huge investments” to the United States, she added, claiming the rest of the president’s economic agenda is actually deflationary."
THIS is the stock market the MAGOTS want to invest our social security into.
You ARE an optimist. I figure they'll invest it in some cybercurrency, "reamcoin" or something else appropriate.
Caroline Leavitt has obviously been watching old videos of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Nurse Ratched of press secretaries.
Except of course the Big Nurse had actual nursing credentials.
// "And I think it's insulting that you are trying to test my knowledge of economics[.]" //
And you failed the test. Badly.
She seems to have those disconcerting traits of stupidity and aggression that Trump looks for in this role.
Just spitballin' here, but wouldn't it be easier to just tax the living fuck out of the billionaires?
If you ran the country, would you want to pay taxes on your billions?
Yes, I would, but I am not a sociopath.
"We will unleash America out onto the world." WTF DOES THAT MEAN
I know what it meant when Shakespeare's Henry V said more or less the same thing.

I believe that our Mr. Putin may still be dangling that Trump Towers Moscow before him.
His Precious.
"Trump Towers Moscow"
Worst. Penis. Name. Ever.
Moscow is a pariah city in a pariah state. Trump would lose bigly. Trump would rather build hotels in warm, sunny places like Gaza and Panama.
Tall and glowing and old and ugly
The man from Trump Tower Moscow goes walking
And when he passes
All of his gasses we go "ah."
Absolutely, deporting the people who BUILD our houses will definitely increase the supply. Oh and by the way those people could certainly never afford to BUY one of the houses they built…
Ta, Marcie. Sigh. I really, really miss Bidenomics.
I'm starting to miss NIXONomics.

Again, all I can think of is that Twilight Zone episode.
“It’s good that you sent our economy to the cornfield.”
"Anthony"!
The only spirit animal I see is the leopard that’s eating all the faces.

"In the long run, we are all dead," John Maynard Keynes
This comes to mind after watching the video of the Commerce Secretary (though it applies to everyone in this maladministration): https://youtu.be/LQCU36pkH7c?si=5LCHDSOMAdmZnfC8
We are all dumber for having listened to it. I award them no points, and may god not have mercy on their souls.
"There is a period of transition because what we’re doing is very big."
Always using the Future Impossible Promissorial verb tense.
“20 bucks, same as in town.”
I loathe the enabling Welker. That is all.
