They really don't understand what the press briefings are for do they. They allow the administration to get their side of the story, any story out first. Without them the press corps is free and encouraged to do actual journalism instead of give them the benefit of the doubt. Not that there's much doubt left with this lot.

They may be rusty from the mutually beneficial relationship but the rust seems to be falling away quickly.
