At least the LPGA is more mature about these matters.

Full on football fan here. For those that don't follow the sport the SEC is college football's best conference. More NFL players come from those schools then from any other group of schools. If he can dominate in the SEC then he can play in the NFL no questions asked.

That being said it will take a very secure organization willing to do so in the largely homophobic NFL culture. I suspect that the two most likely landing places for Sam are

1. Seattle. They just won the Super Bowl. Their coach, Pete Caroll, is known as a very open minded, progressive personality. Seattle, as a city is obviously progressive.

2. New England. Bill Belichek the hoody wearing, three time championship winning genius of the Northeast can do whatever he damn well wants to do and his team and the city will sign off on it. He doesn't care about anything other than whether or not a guy can play and will he be a good teammate. Sam apparently passes both of those tests. No one in the New England locker room will say anything about it because on that team you do it Belicheck's way or you take the first bus out of town. Finally, god knows the Patriots could use the help on defense.

Missouri is totally ghey though, because Branson.

Let's be honest here. No one is really concerned about noodity in the locker room. What really freaks the players out is the idea that when piles of enormous, musclebound men land on them in a huge dogpile, and they get a hard-on, that might be gay.

.. .how they won’t take Florida’s Jameis Winton when he becomes draft eligible.

Florida State!!!

The Gators are more known for the non-sexual assault. And typical college stuff like drunk-in-public and weed possession.

It's amazing the tap-dancing being done by the homophobes to not just say, "Fags are gross!" My "favorite" is from the media-types who don't think he'll be drafted because he'll bring "too much outside attention" to the team. Because if there's one thing sportsball teams NEVER get is outside attention. I'm in a media market where they hired a convicted dog-killer, but if the gay guy came to town, suddenly the media attention would just be too much. Says THE MEDIA WHO WOULD BE PAYING TOO MUCH ATTENTION. Because the media are simply powerless in how and how much attention they pay to any story. Their hands are simply tied.

Did S.I. let them talk from inside a closet?

As much money is involved in this sport you'd think every player could have their own shower stall. Maybe they really enjoy the nude camaraderie?
