Hey, remember that one time Barack Obama repeated a line from The Untouchables and wingnuts all freaked out about his violent thuggish rhetoric? In today's Civility Update, we have real gem from New Hampshire GOP Chair Jennifer Horn, who got a Manchester audience fired up for Scott Brown with some particularly vivid rhetoric. It's sort of half come-to-Jesus revival, half Al Capone giving a motivational speech with a baseball bat:
Gleem, I hope you're right, but I fear that we are affected by living in the PRCali. Even up here in the foothills, the lunacy isn't as severe as it appears to be in the Heartland. You probably have to go south of Fresno, or all the way to the OC, to get the same level of blind allegiance to stupid. Problem is, in brief, we get two Senators. Iowa also gets two Senators. Thanks, Framers.
I find it odd that for the past oh, two years, the press and every talking head everywhere has been "collective wisdoming" all over our faces how all the Republicans were going to win everything everywhere.
And at the same time, all of these totally unconnected states just also happen all at the same time to be so interested in passing laws restricting voting in some fashion.
It's so odd, you know? Like it all fits together somehow, but of course it doesn't because nobody in media talks about it at all, so it doesn't.
Of course, the brand name "Republican" consistently scores lower than "I'd like to catch the herpes so I can rub Ebola vomit into my shiny new herpes sores" so much that even Rand Paul can joke about it. Bobby Jindal makes serious talk about it. Ann Coulter wants to leave the Tea Partiers and Libertarians out of their party, because they drag it down so much. There's so much "collective wisdom" that they suck that it is the easiest of late-nite comedy punchlines.
Somehow, though, they can win all of these elections? Have they actually convinced the women, or the Hispanics, that they made so much of doing "outreach" on in order to win future elections? I didn't see it. Where did they get this "momentum?" Did I miss something?
Even with all forewarning about this midterm election, and the tons of money that "outside groups" keep pouring into these elections (on both sides, interestingly enough) and many of the solid Red safe places that are actually in play, yet they still say Republicans are supposedly going to be coming out ahead.
Sorry, "collective wisdom," I don't believe you far more than any wingnut disbelieves climate change. I'm afraid my polls have become quite unskewed! Which is okay when the cool R's do it! It's like I'm Mitt Romney and not even planning for the possibility that a concession might be necessary!
<i>Think of how <strike>disgraceful</strike>black it is to have a <strike>disgrace</strike>black in the White House.</i>
I think that&#039;s what he actually meant to say.
TR would never have ended that with &quot;rhetorically speaking&quot;.

Ah, live it up. Club &#039;em with a halibut.
Like I&#039;ve got a choice? And the Old Man does send me on assignment from time to time.

Not the exactly sharpest knife in the chandelier, is she?
A rising tide drowns all enemies.
O.T. RIP Tom Magliiozzi.
Of couse, if you&#039;re Republican everything is Easily Forgiven (link to TV Tropes omitted for everyone&#039;s sanity).
So now there can never be any new &#039;Car Talk&#039; programmes.

More death panels and electrified holding pens for Liebrals.
They&#039;re willing to march into Hell for a heavenly cause.
Am I the only one who looked longingly at that fire hose, and wished to God they&#039;d been there?
Hey! I can mangle metaphors right up there with the best of them!
