In that hat, doesn't New Pope remind you of Johnathan Pryce, the Infiniti Snot ad guy/ Brazil actor?

Pope Francis' messages are primarily directed at Catholics, and he issues them because, well, that's his job. But sorry that he doesn't meet your standards of ideological purity.

BTW, does any person alive today meet it? I just love it when someone uses left-wing rhetoric in an attempt to disguise their bigotry.

I vote we switch out our Speaker of the House with New Pope. They both like red wine. It could be months before the republicans catch on.

Among progressive-minded Christians, the attitude New Pope is displaying here is termed the "Prophetic" mode of discourse. It follows the path of the wild-eyed, smelly self-appointed prophet who comes out of the woods to deliver devastating jeremiads to the mighty, who generally do not appreciate the rebuke.

The power may not come through as clearly in Italian or Latin or Spanish or whatever Frank was speaking. Think of Jeremiah [!] Wright: "Not God bless America. GOD DAMN America!"
