California really should officially extend an offer to Pima County (Tucson) to join the Golden State. Unfortunately, we don't actually share a border, so there may need to be a Berlin-style airlift.

India's got that whole Cooch-Behar District thing going on, so I bet we could swing it if we really tried.

Unfortunately, while I love the flavors they use, frequently attempting to eat them makes my jaw cramp. I have no idea why this happens, but it does. So that just means more baklava for the rest of you.

Baklava is only a tiny sliver of the options. Trust me, plenty of non-jaw-cramping sweets!

DOK!! Boise!! I was born there 61 years ago and spent early childhood there. I remember it as such a nice place and we always went to my grandmas's house for Christmas when we had moved to CA. I remember once we were at a city park(can't remember the name & it was in the late 60's) and Paul Revere and the Raiders were strolling around as we were! My sisters and I were so over the moon when we got to say hi and talk with them a little! Funny how those are the clearest memories I have of Boise. Years later of course, I was saddened to hear how the state had become so batshit republican. This is a very encouraging sign that SOME Republican strongholds can still harbor humanity!

True, though listening to the hippie freak would mean being open to other people and not judging, so even though they only hosted, it's something Jesus would have liked for them to do. His thing in Christianity more or less boils down to "try being nice to people for a change", I'd say.

I wish I could bring you a bag of my sugarplums and fairy drops! :)

We all knew it wasn't sponsored by Frank Graham, Jerry Falwell Jr. or any of their fundamentalist cohorts. This event shows too much friendship and concern for all the people in the community. The truly righteous people, not the self righteous people.

Thanks. Yeah, that's why I sent the article to Dok...I figured people could use a little good news on the day our destruction as a nation was made final.
