You know the rest of her story? Just for starters:
(Wiki) The West Virginia University M.B.A. controversy concerns the granting of an Executive Master of Business Administration degree (EMBA) by West Virginia University to Mylan pharmaceutical company executive Heather Bresch in 2007. An independent panel later concluded that the university changed its records, and granted the degree despite incomplete graduation requirements. West Virginia University's president Michael Garrison, its provost Gerald Lang, and its business school dean R. Stephen Sears, resigned as a result of the investigation, and the university's general counsel and the president's communications officer relinquished those roles.
Yes Ms. Mitchell did some damage withthatsilly book. And Mr. Zelsnick did further damage with the Movie. Was Leslie asking everyday “ how many days do I have left on this movie?” Hattie Daniels wondered if a rewrite of her with a shotgun blowing away Mz Scarlett and Mr. Rhett would have won her the academy award?
If a movie, or documentary could have been made whose subject was A Day on The Plantation - if a movie that the director made sure to accurately portray slavery as practiced, people could not keep their hands from covering their eyes. I hear the Museum in Montgomery is effective in portraying things accurately - made with federal dollars - south never pays for anything - and I hope that’s true. Interview the people after going through and ask them what they think of Confederate Day?
Actually, there are some odd notes on the flick's racism...Selznick wanted the film faithful to the movie, but he didn't want to use that word. He actually met with some African-American leaders on that subject.
On the other hand, Hattie McDaniel was barred from the front rows in the Atlanta theater at the film's premiere and had to watch it from the "colored" section. Asked in her later years about playing that Oscar-winning role, she said, "I'd rather get paid a lot of money for playing maids, then no money for being one." I see her point.
Butterfly McQueen was from The Bronx, and in an interview years after the movie, she actually talked like that.
They had wheeled toys but never scaled the idea up.
They used other tribes as draft animals.
They taste much better than dogs.
They keep them indoors.
I want them to rename the USS Reagan to the USS Doris Miller. The present arrangement is as likely to last as the Harriett Tubman $20 bill.
It took a Democrat named Truman to put a stop to that shit. He's still an asshole for creating the CIA and NSA and betraying Ho Chi Minh, though.

Moving from killing cows to slaughtering buffalo must have been an easy transition.

Absolute biggest lie Repubs tell over and over - “the civil war was not about slavery - it was about states rights.”
