Spent yesterday catching up on reboots of The Smurfs. The movie is cute with big name voices--John Goodman as Papa Smurf, Nick Offerman as Papa's brother, Rhianna as Smurfette, but missing Jokey Smurf who is canon. You must have Jokey Smurf for a full set.
After the movie, I watched the rebooted series, which is NOT GREAT. something about the animation on it is very low energy, like there's a long pause between them whenever they have a conversation. I don't like the new voices, and most important, the changed Grouchy Smurf's expression from "I hate..." to "I don't like..." I guess parents got sick of their kids saying they hated stuff.
Last night, I wasn't really in the mood for my dinners, but I ate--skipped my fruit and cheese tray. My neck and left shoulder started bothering me, which is usually a sign I have a migraine coming on. I had my usual evening warm flashes, but whoa doggies, it was strong. I went to bed about 20 minutes early and started to doze off less than 20 minutes into Star Trek (the episode with Abe Lincoln and Khaless).
A few minutes after I turned over to sleep, I realized I was sweating like crazy and kicked off my sheets. I was very mildly nauseated, and knew that if I didn't cool off I would be sick. I was smart to take a zofram from the packet in my bedside table. Between kicking the blankets off and the zofram, I immediately started feeling better and dozed off.
I feel fair, a bit migrainy. Problem is that you can only take migraine meds twice a week or I would have taken those. It's too late to take them now, so I'll just have to ride it out.
