Saturday evening, Troy and Kelli Goode of Memphis headed off to a Widespread Panic concert in nearby Southaven, Mississippi. What should have been a nice night off for two young parents ended with Troy, a 30-year-old chemical engineer, loving husband and devoted daddy of a 15-month-old,
Completely messed up! My husband & I went to the show with friends & had the best time, only to wake up the next day to find out this happened. As details emerged it literally made me sick to my stomach! The cops made this situation 110% worse when they showed up. I really hate it.
Heartbreaking. I cannot imagine being tied down and tasered while having an asthma attack. When an attack hits me, I just want to stand up and try to breathe, and it hurts so much. I can't bare to think of what this poor young man went through. These police should be charged with murder. And, the fact that they wouldn't let his wife or mother be with him is just inhumane.
Really?!? Where the fuck are you from shitpixel? Self important shit for brains... Do you even watch the news? Do you see this story anywhere else??? Did you hear about the guy who was murdered by my house a few months ago, unarmed, cuz a car backfired (allegedly)? No you didn't, it was only in local news one night cuz he was white. So stfu. Your obviously a racist with no brain.
Most white people don't care about racism but you should because black people are the miner's canary. Anything that's happening to us is going to eventually happen to you. There's even a book proving this. So yes, you should care that Ms. Bland died in police custody because that same cop may hog tie you and deny you your asthma medication. Why? Because every time you ignore police brutality against black people, you simply empower a sociopath.
This made me physically ill. What if this was my husband? He is also an asthmatic, and any idiot knows you cannot safely tie a person up like that, especially someone who is already having an attack. This is a monstrous way to die! Why do we continue to defend these bully cops?
It wasn't yoga.
That's what UGA is known for.
I have asthma. This story horrifies me. That poor man was tortured to death.
They deleted the post you are responding to. I wish they hadn't because your response is awesome.
I'm sorry. I'm sure I speak for most of the posters here when I say that you and your son and Troy's family have our condolences.

Thank you kindly. It was his 'the race that acts like animals' that pushed all my buttons. That shit don't fly with this here poneh.

Why isnt this national news? All day on CNN is Sandra Bland, she killed herself. But this guy is white so no one cares.
Yeah, that's it Cathy, you nailed it.
The media NEVER pays any attention to white people...
(Seriously, where do you fucking people come from?)
