Our BC-Alberta "Civil Civil War" (headline borrowed from my local paper) over the Kinder-Morgan Pipeline seems quaint compared to what goes on south of the 49th.

You can tell by how quickly Republicans are to provide for already born kids just how serious they are about protecting them. That shows you their real commitment to the issue! The message seems to be, "We never asked you to get pregnant, just to not have sex (before you are old enough, can afford it, are married, and aren't icky homos) so that's none of our business...but since you are, well, we'd like to butt in here". Abstinence and lack of abortion services - your gateway to taxpayer funded, privately run, orphanages. Just as God intended!

Lady MS thinks one quick fix for the war on women's health would be to offer a companion bill that ends coverage for those little men-specific items like prostate cancer screening and erectile dysfunction cures. If we're going to be endangered, let's widen the risk pool, eh?

Eventually, the only thing Planned Parenthood will be able to provide is abortions, since they're not dependent on government funding. Good job pro lifers?

We had this lovely scheme known as the baby bonus. The problem was the people who were having the crotch droppings were the type of people who could ill afford or were prepared for parenthood. They also spent the money on big screen tvs, gambling and things other than the baby. Thankfully we have reasonable maternity leave, health care and access to contraception and abortion if needed. NSW is about to outlaw protesting outside clinics!

Those jobs (The ones where women get paid significantly less for doing) will magically be available and pay a living wage when the little ladies aren't there to do them.

Religious principles, my ass. They realized that abortion freed women from being tied to abusive men, abusive relationships, abuse everywhere.

I believe the violence based effort in the 70's started out as religious based.
