Conservatives respond without holding back concerning the victims of cop on black crime and the subsequent protests of those crimes, calling everyone involved thugs and worse but think it is beyond the pale (no pun intended) to offend the sensibilities of those delicate souls who have decided, despite all evidence to the contrary, that the history that rag represents is somehow noble.. Fuck 'em.
Now that we've settled that, could we return to a discussion of the utter stupidity that any attempts to keep guns out of the hands of the Dylann Roof's of this world cannot be tolerated because it would affect those who believe as Dylann Roof does but haven't pulled the trigger yet?
They'll restore it, of course, claiming the end of democracy if anarchy is allowed to rule, but then they'll have to put guards on it to prevent that from happening again, and we'll have the image of armed guards paid by the state protecting the fucker from American citizens.
Which happens every time there's a shooting. The conservatards were probably thrilled when everyone focused on the confederate rag. It'd be real hard to spin this one as violent video games, Hollywood movies, heavy-metal music, or homosexuality. (Actually, I don't think they've ever tried to blame gay culture for one of these shootings, but, give them time.)
