We're okay for now, but the anti-vaxxer group seems to be growing. Last year about 142,000 people in the world died of measles. And that number is increasing.

Throw in some sage and vitamin A and they'd go for it. Then we'd quietly roll a big stone across the entrance.

I wonder if they will. That would be a great question to ask them. I just got my shingles shot. It hurt a few days later for like two days. Shingles hurts a lot worse for a lot longer. Let those assholes get it.

I like how you think! I believe everybody convicted of a non-trivial crime should do jail time. Even if it’s on weekends even if it’s only like six weekends. Focusses the mind. Gates got jail time, 45 days. That’s the kind of thing. +3 years probation and $20,000 fine.

A bite from the right snake will guarantee that you don't come down with any diseases in the future.

I think that's true of the rich because fines mean absolutely nothing to them. The poor are a different matter. Or if it's a matter that is really too trivial for jail for rich or poor there's this approach:https://www.theatlantic.com...

Another thing we need to do is get rid of bail, which the rich can afford while the poor get locked up and lose jobs and have trouble getting child care, etc. This was one of Kamala Harris' issues. People should be kept locked up or released base on risk--either of flight or of being dangerous to the community.

I've been occasionally urging my friends to get their Shingrex shots, but some just never get around to it. One who didn't got shingles and is now in chronic pain. Shingles can recur and it can appear in different locations, including on the face. It can cause open sores. Of course a lot of these people probably never had chicken pox 'cause their parents had them vaccinated so they can't get shingles.

But there's also pneumonia, which is very dangerous to seniors. And it may not be long before they come up with vaccines against cancer, which is more likely in seniors.

Vaccines aren't just for children, so it will be interesting to see what these adults do when their friends come down with diseases of older age.

Superb episode of Bull about money bail. The guy, who is innocent, pleaded guilty to a trivial charge and was released right away because he couldn’t afford bail or afford to be locked up. For the same reasons you say. And then the DA changed the charge. I forget the details of it, it was ripping!

Exactly. They're free to make a martyr of themselves. Not their children.

I'm sorry, but am I in the right place to complain that my child is not being properly instructed in flat earth theory? No? Well I guess I'll just have to wait right here. The meeting could start without me.
