I agree with you. I work in construction, there are more conservatives in the construction industry than anywhere else I've been. They are rabid in their beliefs. But, on the positive side of things the majority of people are good people and do what they feel are the right things. Progress towards a better society is painfully slow.
Trump would probably be a OK bartender with skills like that. I have the same reaction most times to some of the crazy shit that drunk people say. Make non-committal noise and give a non-answer that can be interpreted as whatever the drunk wants. You don't get tips or political office by telling crazies that they are crazy.
T-rump lets a racist, Islamophobic, birther sound off at this rally. That is about as surprising as hearing the Grand Wizard lets people use the "n" word at Klan rallies. I'm more surprised it doesn't happen at every Redumblicon rally.
