The thing is, there are parts of existing National Parks where there are signs that say more or less that. They are generally so far in that there is no chance that the average bagger will ever see one.

It would be some sort of karmic justice if Mark Steyn and his ilk would wander off into the forest and need rescue, only to be denied due to the shutdown and lack of paid staff. Bears know that teatards taste better than other game, thanks to their succulent fat asses.

To my mind, this is the clearest indication of what I've long suspected: people who object to taxes or complain that their taxes are too high have no understanding of how services are funded.
